My son, who is six months younger than Flynn, started dance class for the first time this January. I grew up dancing and my mom was a teacher at the studio where he is going, so it is such a full circle moment. I got to go to observe the class last weekend and they are dancing to “when you wish upon a star “and because my son is the only boy, he gets to twirl a couple of the girls at the end of the dance. While attending school in N. Carolina I saw these incredible purple blooming trees (only for 3 weeks). My classmate told me the Redbuds are blooming! I told her but they’re purple and she said I know - but that is their name. 💜
I don't look for rocks but when I'm at the beach, my husband and I are obsessed with finding shark teeth. Do you ever see any in CA? Also, I would watch 30 minutes of footage of paint drying if it meant I got 5 minutes of Colleen playing piano and singing. It soothes my soul.

I miss being on stage, I used to be in an amateur theatre company and did Theatre Arts at college a million years ago. I really wish I had pursued my chosen career but had little to no encouragement from family so let the opportunity pass me by.

Landscape Designer/ horticulturist here, Your tree that has purple flowers is the Oklahoma state tree - Eastern Red Bud & yes they can of course grow in California. 😂
