Siggy, this is a West Coast Swing performance. They are some of the best west coast swing dancers in the world. It definitely is swing. Please, for the sake of reality, admit that you don't know what you are talking about. For me, this is the best choreography I have ever seen, and I like the music also.
this is my favorite dance video-I showed this to my 2 yr old grandson and he was as mesmerized as I am with it. He clapped when it finished. I honestly don't expect to ever see a dance contest performance that can ever beat it.

A couple of days ago I saw Heidi and Benji perform the mamba on "So you think you can dance", and wow...wow... wow... wonderful talent coming out of USA! It feels like I've waited all my life to wait to see those 2 dance!
I watch this video several times a week and it hasn't gotten boring yet-LOL- my daughter said "mom how do you even know about this video? can't remember how I stumbled on to it but it beats prozac!!!
I saw this LIVE 3 weeks ago, and I wasn't expecting to see it on the tour...its AMAZING in person...they are FANTASTIC!! if you have the chance to go to this tour...GO!!!

Holy crap! That was amazing! Some amazing stunts in there, but also just clean, fluid dancing. They make it look so effortless and like they are having a great time.
I love in the beginning part, where she squats and spins while holding onto his shin. And I also loved when he has her up around his neck, and she's holding on to her ankles, and then she "falls" down his body, all the while continuing to hold onto her ankles!
I loooooooove this performance, I could watch it over and over and over and never get bored. I wonder who choreographed it? One of the best performances EVER!

These two entered the "So you think you can dance" contest on FOX tv last year... Benji (the guy) won! and the girl got to the top 4 I believe... they are incredible dancers and not just with Swing... they rock every dance style! I love watching them
yup. Heidi and Benji are cousin's and they've been dancing together in swing ever since they were little kids. you'll easily find one of their videos when they were younger on here if you look for them.
This guy has a very good balance, and this girl is a miracle.... her spins are so great!!! She is very very down on the floor and that allows her to do spins so quickly and without losing her balance. And believe me, i know what am i talking about. I do Latin dances(Samba, Cha-Cha-Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive). This swing dance is quite different from waht am i doing but i enjoyed watching it. Great job!!!
They are also cousins...and his sister also dances. Obviously what runs through their family, this degree of excellence and enjoyment towards a job well done.
@ArnacMGS This is West Coast Swing, and while it's not a traditional swing dance, it's still under the "swing" term umbrella. What you are looking for is "Lindy Hop" the original swing dance form the 1930s. West Coast Swing is an evolved form of Lindy Hop, which changed as music changed from swing to rock to soul to disco to pop.
