My favorite diglett is the brick-shaped one. Since they canonically have claws and in an arrangement that makes their body look kind of like a hand down there (yes, really), I guess their claws would be positioned so as to make them reminiscent to creepers. I'm actually thinking of a regional variant like that that like to hide in ruins and camouflage as bricks or natural equivalents, making them ground/rock types, and its color would be sandy as befitting of an implied-by-canon desert-dominated region near both Unova and Kalos, the Dahhar region, home to desert yamask-liners and hoopa even Other Dahharan ideas: - A poison-type unicorn-ish jackalope line (from hare-like to antelope-shaped to bear/rhino-shaped but still leporine throughout) with a wart theme - A regional variant of the phantump line - A regional variant of the ralts line with a female-exclusive alternate evolution rather than the usual male-exclusive one (the extra evolution would be based on North African folklore and have a deadly seduction theme along with being psychic/ghost type, but she won't necessarily be sexualized, just cute yet creepy) - A set of legendaries based on the creatures on each of the gates of Babylon - A regional eevee variant with its own set of eeveelutions (sand-themed ground type evolving to dragon, bug, ghost, poison, fighting, flying, steel, and rock) - A cheetah-based line to a greater extent than the purrloin (also smaller wild cat based unlike this one) line - A regional variant of the riolu line - An electric/sound type based partly on Vibri from Vib-Ribbon - A sound typing based partly on canon (it would retcon certain moves and pokemon types to being sound and partly sound respectively, and the whismur line would be pure sound type and the tympole line water/sound, among other pokemon) - A keckleon variant that instead of becoming nearly invisible flashes bright colors to disorient others (actually closer to irl chameleons, but with willpower and disorientation being involved) - A cute ground/fairy type toad pokemon covered in eyespots (potato fairy, lol) - A few ultra beast species that have only been observed to appear in this region - Some more familiar ones like pheromosa (appears for the same reason as the other ultra beasts) and the cacnea line among others - Some more mega evolutions - A new gimmick in the form of a temporary "ascension" reminiscent of apotheosis and with an angelic theme
