I just bought a 12 spline stump jumper and blades for a 6 foot bush hog and put them on my wolverine brush cutter. Does awesome now and haven’t had a issue

Weld some thin cutting edge in the bottom of that bar, two sided bevel and you can reverse if needed.

Happen to have one borrowed from a friend. We both have a Cat 299d3 xe. Both machines hyd fluid temperature skyrockets to a point where the alarms come on and have to stop to cool down. Any idea what's going on and how to cure it???
    Thanks!

Without seeing it, it would be hard to diagnose, but running an attachment like these requires a ton of flow through the machine, way more than a grapple or clamshell. My machine has a reversing fan and in addition to that I wash the radiator out every other day of use or else it overheats the hydraulics and sometimes the coolant. Even with washing them religiously, I just pulled my radiator out to fix a leak and was amazed how dirty it was within the fins, so that might be an issue with both machines because it’s not a problem that would normally present itself through normal use, other than that, the motor in the attachment might have a blockage causing the pressure to be too high and putting strain on the machines or the gears aren’t meshing properly in the gear box causing the same issue

@Nathan Churchill could it be that crossover fitting on backwards or hose ends on wrong ends? We have hyd oil coolers on these machines for our forestry mulching heads that never see 170° in the hottest of summer. Only thing I know to try is flipping that crossover vlv and see what happens...

@@ryanderryberry8271 Ours overheats too. Could some one look to see which way the crossover fitting arrow is pointing on theirs, left or right? Thanks

For the price you really can’t beat them, just definitely watch out for failure points

How many gallons per min is your machine and do you run it at 100% setting?

@@rockstahla7544 the 325 is only 20 GPM max I believe and depending on what we are cutting is how I place the throttle, light grass I am usually only at 25% but with thicker coyote brush usually 80%
