    I was looking for different methods of making armatures and found this wonderful series.Thanks so much for sharing your art with the world. I'm sure I'm not the only one who is totally mesmerized by your work. I've been watching them non stop! Amazing! Please don't be shy about posting more of them. They are very helpful to those of us who are mere mortals.

    Hi there :)
    Do a search for "Square plastic Tube " . You should be able to get this from any art and craft supply store. It's cheap. Like everything else I used in the video :).
    No frill no fuss. :).
    Forget about drills and pasta machinese...

    Thank you so much!
    I've been wondering and confusing what's the proper thing to use as a base for creating such detailed sculpture.

    Not sure.. have not tried it in the oven, however boiling your sculpey will not melt the plastic though. Boiling works great by the way.

    Best way is to take a picture of what ever you want to scale, go to photoshop and scale it to what ever scale u want, and make sure to print it out to the exact size you want. From there just measure with your calipers and transfer it to your sculpt like what I am doing.

    I assume you're using sculpey, so are those plastic tubes heat resistant?

  • @JackANDJude
    @JackANDJude 11 лет назад

    If you are using a sculpey blend, is it ok to use plumbers epoxy to firm up the armature joints and then bake it all together?

  • @juliankhor
    @juliankhor  14 лет назад

    @cocopearl671
    For mine I use a piece of wood fiber board . Or any piece of wood will do. Some people would drill a hole and stick their armature wire in there. Well if u dun have a drill u can do it like what i did, with a of stapler gun.

    The drawing of the muscular male is familiar. Is it from a book on how to draw anatomy for comic books? If so, could you share the title?

    What do you do with these oil based sculptures when they are done? If they fall down, then will get squished and dented, right?

  • @warwickdoolan6227

    Would you be able to use these tubes with Sculpey and oven bake it? I guess there maybe the possibility of the tubes melting inside the model.

    • @juliankhor
      @juliankhor  7 лет назад

      it will not melt.. but it will get soften. THe shape may distort.. but it really depends.. if it's enclosed by sculpey.. it may still hold its shape. But I would really advice you to test it out before committing to it.
