great run i really enjoyed that. one tip though, and correct me if i'm wrong, but the boss of wily fortress stage 2 (the squid boss) i think he goes down faster if you use the yo-yo cutter instead of the glue shot.

Still, this game is more forgiving than any CHIKO hacks in existence. Compare this game with Rockman 3 Deft. The pointless amount of spikes are beyond unfair.

It's like Mega Man X battle against Vile, you feel useless. It's good for first time players, where the player will actually use every resource to try and beat him, and feel like he is powerless at the end. This is a speedrun, obviously he will try to be beaten as soon as possible.

He's getting old and believes "the world will need a new champion" so he secretly spends the rest of his days designing X, and you know where it goes from there...

Id rather have a game be too easy than too hard. Not fun a game enough to want to play to the end, I would cut a lot of stuff.
Mega Man Unlimited IMO is well designed. Yes, it's frustrating, but it's rewarding. The soundtracks are my drive to completing this game. oh, and not to mention, beating the game in Original difficulty literally unlocks a game breaking character.

Honestly, this is my favorite of all the "classic" Mega Man games. Just traversing the stages with all the weapon switching is so damn slick and fun. They really did the series justice here. Between this and AM2R, I've totally reevaluated exactly how good fan games could be.
This is fan made. Capcom had nothing to do with its development. It is pretty convincing though, and it involves a story plot that Capcom should have added to MM 10. In my opinion this is the true final MM game wether or not its an official release. It perfectly bridges the gap between the two series.

One of my friends and I were having a debate on whether this is a hack or a completely original fan game and I'm curious to hear what others have to say on the matter. So I ask the RUclips community at large: Is Megaman Unlimited a hack or an original game using Megaman characters?
A hack would be using an IPS patched ROM with an emulator. This is a .exe. It's using an engine built to replicate the Megaman engine, but if you look closely you can see very minor discrepancies.
you seem to be a tad confused, Omega and Zero are one in the same. to try and sum it all up, Zero was the original carrier of the Maverick Virus. During his fight with Sigma in the abandoned facility, the Virus jumped from Zero to the heavily damaged Sigma, where it inevitably turned him to a maverick, but also fused with his mind, resulting in the Sigma virus we're familiar with in the later X games. Zero, after having his damage repaired, was free of the Virus, and his true personality became dominate as we know him. Through the X series, at least the latter part, Zero began to once again become affected by the Zero Virus, which was dormant within him but was being fueled by Sigma's knock off version. In order to try and once more rid himself of the Virus, he placed himself into stasus in order to keep the Virus at bay until a way to destroy the virus could be found. Inevitably said cure was found, in the form of the Mother Elf and the Cyber Elves, but by this point Zero's body had become too heavily affected by the Virus to remove it, thus in order to save Zero his Consciousness, in essence his soul, was removed and placed with in a copy of his body, getting the Zero we know in the Zero series, and his original body, now completely controlled by the Zero Virus, became the killing machine Wily intended, Omega. However, these events transpire quite literally decades after the X series itself, meaning it would be hundreds of years after the Classic Megaman series. What Mega would have been fighting was Zero affected by the Zero virus, just as Sigma had encountered him upon his awakening in the abandoned facility. It's Zero, but as a Maverick, to put it simply. And going by the appearance, I'd wager it was Zero at an incomplete stage of development, though that's up for debate. What I can say for sure is this is the one and only Zero who becomes X's best bud. Why do I have the sudden urge to shout out 'it's a game theory' right now? Must be my imagination.
