omg "chariots of fire"! i still haven't seen that movie but growing up in the 90's the theme song was so iconic. for whatever reason one childhood memory that has stuck with me was that in probably 2nd grade this kid in my class named noah said that the "chariots of fire" theme song was his dad's favorite song of all time... this was like 1995. random thing to remember but that movie was definitely a part of the zeitgeist at the time, even though it came out in the 80's.
I've never played Animal Crossing but I'd happily listen to you talk about it! Heck, I'm 34 and I could talk for hours about my favorite game (DragonCave, online dragon-collecting game). It's always great to hear someone talking about something they are passionate about!

(Plus, I really want to smell River Song fragrance - being in Canada, I have not been able to afford your soap/duties & taxes!!!!) I remember when Chariots of Fire came out. I was a young kid, and my parents couldn't find a sitter, so they dragged me and my sister to the movies. I know I ran around the theatre a lot, and I definitely slept after some point. Except for the Oscars it won, that is all I remember about that film! I went to see Dead Poets Society with my besties when it first came out. We LOVED LOVED LOVED that film!!!! It was life-changing to theatre-kid teenagers!
Oh my GOSH, this soap is so freakin' beautiful!! Also, I LOVE ANIMAL CROSSING (psst, I'm 28 and my mother is turning 51 soon and we both play it- Animal Crossing is timeless and ageless!). First one I played was also GameCube, our island was named Pallet- we were (and I still am) obsessed with Pokemon as well- and my two cousins were on it with my younger sibling and I. We took turns playing that together, sending eachother little letters and gifts and hiding things for eachother to find in little treasure hunt style adventures. My oldest cousin passed away almost eight years ago in a freak accident, and her uncle still has that GameCube memory card with our island on it. HIs grandchildren have taken over playing on the island- they each picked one of our characters to play rather than making their own, since we had named our characters after our favourite animals and they liked that idea anyways. My spouse got me the Animal Crossing edition of the Switch last year, it had sold out the first time and he found that it went in stock and ordered it for me while at work one night; I had no idea. He had it shipped to the store so after work he went to pick it up one morning and brought it home so that I wouldn't peek. LOL. Not gonna lie, I cried. We already each had the game on our Switches, but I missed the first run of that edition of Switch and was so heartbroken. I have such fond memories of Animal Crossing growing up, and it makes me so happy to be able to pass on that same love for the game with my own daughter now. It's just such a wholesome game, and the ability to have multiple people visit islands and play around with you all at once is such a wonderful addition.

I'm from Sweden and we do have different types of fruit soups, most are cold but we do have warm fruit soup aswell. But it's not something u eat for dinner. It's more of a snack. Love how you made this soap. The melt and pour water effect is beautiful.

I love animal crossing! It helps me unwind after work with helping focus on small meaningless tasks :) Also this soap had me buy for the first time in awhile! (Granted I live alone so your soaps last forever for me) but it matches the vibe of my house so well I had to get it! (Along with a couple others that caught my eye)
I love this soap design! Also, Dead Poet's Society is amazing. I highly recommend Rear Window. It's an old Hitchcock movie, and while it definitely isn't very similar to Dead Poet's Society, I feel like if you can appreciate one, you're probably going to appreciate the other.

I was able to get a bar of Book Store soap! I missed it the first time around, so I am so happy! The raindrops look great, and I think they could represent carbonation in a different design.

I'm glad to have finally found someone else who has been playing Animal Crossing since the original Game Cube ones. Everyone I know who plays animal crossing now had never played a game until New Horizons, which is fine but I have such fond memories of the older games that it's nice that someone else knows that they even existed.
So nice to hear about you enjoying Animal Crossing!! If you're really enjoying AC, you might be interested in Stardew Valley - it has somewhat similar chill vibes. You run a little farm left to you by your grandpa, you get to make friends in the nearby town, maybe even marry one, and help save the local community center, among many, many other things. It's up there in my heart with Animal Crossing as contender for favorite games. Also, while I do not think cereal is a soup, I will say that I've had several kinds of cold soup that are delicious. My dad used to make a cold potato and leek soup that was pretty good. Also, I've had a cold, summertime version of borscht with thin apple slices in it, so very good.

As soon as you mentioned Chariots Of Fire I had to take a break. Unexpected tears of both sadness and joy. My grandfather passed away at the beginning of the pandemic and that iconic song was pretty much his song. He was also a runner.
I love acnh! I've been with the series since the beginning too and even had the Gameboy advance attachment to visit the island for coconuts. This version really is the best of all the games. I'd love a bonus video of your island when it's all decorated 😊

I’m 27 & my husband did the same for me! He got me the animal crossing edition switch/game for Christmas 2020 & I put a couple hundred hours into that game...until we got our puppy in March 2021 & I started working in a different dept for my bank. I work from home now (I’m also in DFW!) & I’ve recently started playing again. I can’t recommend the expansion pack enough. I swear we would get along so well in person 😂 I feel like I’ve personally known you for years! Btw I LOVE this technique!!

Funny you mention Chariots of Fire! The composer of the score is Vangelis, who also did the score for Bladerunner. My friend and I have been collaborating on his community radio show where I have been guest programming his playlists on the first friday of the month to go through 50 (ish) years of electronic music, and we have just done the second 80s show with both Vangelis tracks in the TV/film block of the show.
These soaps are awesome! I'm excited that it all reminds me of Irish Spring soaps. A little story here: after my grandmother passed, my family was thinking back on the good memories and my dad remembered something she had done that everyone forgot about. She went out to get Halloween candy for everyone, but she also needed to get some soap at the store. So she got Irish Spring soap, but when she got home, she forgot to pull it out of the grocery bag with the candy in it. They finally went to eat the Halloween candy, only to realize it all tasted like the soap! We joke about this all the time whenever something reminds us of the smell of Irish Spring.
Omg I love the technique for the raindrops!! Call me crazy BUT if you used soap frosting and a large grass/fur piping tip to make grass as a topper, you could do raindrops to make it like dew drops on top!! (And you could even add lil yellow dandelions!)
All of my favourite things got touched on today... Rain, coffee, Vangelis (like for seriously have you seen Mr Bean playing the Chariots of Fire theme at the London Olympics? I still die laughing EVERY TIME I re-find it on RUclips), Animal Crossing (bought it the day it came out for the GameCube and my mother is queen of all of our cities from every game to this day), and cereal. And no, cereal is not soup. 🤣😅 Quick AC note: if you want to be super super calm switch your system to 5am. BEST quiet music on the soundtrack. Loved this soap and your gorgeous raindrop technique!! ❤️
Chariots of Fire is one of those movies that shows the triumph of the human spirit and I am totally here for it. Saw it when it hit the theaters but was seriously butt hurt that it got nominated for an Oscar but E.T. didnt but I was also 11 at the time so E.T. was a little more of my speed at the time than Chariots. Chariots of Fire is def a film that you can go back to numerous times and you always catch something that you may have missed in previous viewings. It is a really beautiful movie from a visual aspect.
I had to watch Dead Poets Society for one of my classes. I had no intent of ever watching it and I'm glad I had to for my class. Such a beautiful film that instantly became a favourite. Might have to watch it again soon.

Where I live we get zero snow until February, then an icy snowstorm, then summer weather then spring. And probably snow again soon haha

Also this soap had me buy for the first time in awhile! (Granted I live alone so your soaps last forever for me) but it matches the vibe of my house so well I had to get it! (Along with a couple others that caught my eye)

I love this soap design! Also, Dead Poet's Society is amazing. I highly recommend Rear Window. It's an old Hitchcock movie, and while it definitely isn't very similar to Dead Poet's Society, I feel like if you can appreciate one, you're probably going to appreciate the other.

I was able to get a bar of Book Store soap! I missed it the first time around, so I am so happy! The raindrops look great, and I think they could represent carbonation in a different design.

I'm glad to have finally found someone else who has been playing Animal Crossing since the original Game Cube ones. Everyone I know who plays animal crossing now had never played a game until New Horizons, which is fine but I have such fond memories of the older games that it's nice that someone else knows that they even existed.

So nice to hear about you enjoying Animal Crossing!! If you're really enjoying AC, you might be interested in Stardew Valley - it has somewhat similar chill vibes. You run a little farm left to you by your grandpa, you get to make friends in the nearby town, maybe even marry one, and help save the local community center, among many, many other things. It's up there in my heart with Animal Crossing as contender for favorite games.
Also, while I do not think cereal is a soup, I will say that I've had several kinds of cold soup that are delicious. My dad used to make a cold potato and leek soup that was pretty good. Also, I've had a cold, summertime version of borscht with thin apple slices in it, so very good.

I love acnh! I've been with the series since the beginning too and even had the Gameboy advance attachment to visit the island for coconuts. This version really is the best of all the games. I'd love a bonus video of your island when it's all decorated 😊

I’m 27 & my husband did the same for me! He got me the animal crossing edition switch/game for Christmas 2020 & I put a couple hundred hours into that game...until we got our puppy in March 2021 & I started working in a different dept for my bank. I work from home now (I’m also in DFW!) & I’ve recently started playing again. I can’t recommend the expansion pack enough. I swear we would get along so well in person 😂 I feel like I’ve personally known you for years! Btw I LOVE this technique!!

I haven’t seen chariots of fire in years!!! It has been my favorite movie most of my life. I saw it back in the day when if you wanted to see a movie multiple times you’re paid to see it in the theater multiple times! And I did! I loved it! I need to watch it again.

I bought the Game Cube Animal Crossing for my son years ago. He hated it but my mom and I loved it. She would fish for hours and hours until she passed away. I have played since the beginning and love New Horizons so much. I'm 53 BTW. Love that game so much. You do you Katie

Funny you mention Chariots of Fire! The composer of the score is Vangelis, who also did the score for Bladerunner. My friend and I have been collaborating on his community radio show where I have been guest programming his playlists on the first friday of the month to go through 50 (ish) years of electronic music, and we have just done the second 80s show with both Vangelis tracks in the TV/film block of the show.
These soaps are awesome! I'm excited that it all reminds me of Irish Spring soaps. A little story here: after my grandmother passed, my family was thinking back on the good memories and my dad remembered something she had done that everyone forgot about. She went out to get Halloween candy for everyone, but she also needed to get some soap at the store. So she got Irish Spring soap, but when she got home, she forgot to pull it out of the grocery bag with the candy in it. They finally went to eat the Halloween candy, only to realize it all tasted like the soap! We joke about this all the time whenever something reminds us of the smell of Irish Spring.
Omg I love the technique for the raindrops!! Call me crazy BUT if you used soap frosting and a large grass/fur piping tip to make grass as a topper, you could do raindrops to make it like dew drops on top!! (And you could even add lil yellow dandelions!)

All of my favourite things got touched on today... Rain, coffee, Vangelis (like for seriously have you seen Mr Bean playing the Chariots of Fire theme at the London Olympics? I still die laughing EVERY TIME I re-find it on RUclips), Animal Crossing (bought it the day it came out for the GameCube and my mother is queen of all of our cities from every game to this day), and cereal. And no, cereal is not soup. 🤣😅

Chariots of Fire is one of those movies that shows the triumph of the human spirit and I am totally here for it. Saw it when it hit the theaters but was seriously butt hurt that it got nominated for an Oscar but E.T. didnt but I was also 11 at the time so E.T. was a little more of my speed at the time than Chariots. Chariots of Fire is def a film that you can go back to numerous times and you always catch something that you may have missed in previous viewings. It is a really beautiful movie from a visual aspect.

I had to watch Dead Poets Society for one of my classes. I had no intent of ever watching it and I'm glad I had to for my class. Such a beautiful film that instantly became a favourite. Might have to watch it again soon.

Also, Cereal is a soup in the same way that a hotdog is a sandwich. Technically it's a solid in a liquid and you eat it, but in no way in the spirit of the original idea lol. Vichyssoise is a cold potato and leek soup, however, and is absolutely to die for. SUPER delish~
