Gilbert’s little smile…..who wouldn’t love that?❤️❤️❤️
He has the cutest sweetest smile!
that face...OMG THAT FACE..I will gladly take death by gilbert kisses
Wicked awesome baby ❤❤❤
He looks like a little demon
probably the other jealous dog, lol
the family who said the dog was too jealous didn't even give the dogs enough time to get to know each other. Im glad this chihuahua found a better home
You don't know how much time went by.
@@josceola8979It said 3 days.
Nah, this is just small dog owners in general.@@josceola8979
The average small dog owner thinks dogs are as intelligent as them. They aren't far off, but it's vice versa. So, not surprised.

Man, I don’t care, chihuahuas are my favorite breed, PERIOD! ❤❤❤
He's a Lil Darling. God Bless you for taking him & being his mommy.
How could anyone not smile when looking at Gilbert's sweet little toothless grin? He's precious. So glad he's found his place in the world where he's safe & loved.

@SandraCat22, yeah, they're pretty good at judging one's character. so........
I'm so glad that you adopted Gilbert. ❤️ All dogs need a home and to be loved, and you're providing that for him. Bless you, Gilbert and all of your dogs. 🙏
I agree with you 100%! But why are you saying this to GeoBeats Animals? They didn’t adopt Gilbert. Do you understand how RUclips works??
@@louskunt9798I think you should delete your comment. 🤷♀️
Gilbert has got the most fantastic smile 😊. He’s just gorgeous. So pleased that he’s finally got a loving home. x
I LOVE this Story ! To give a Dog Hope and Love is the greatest gift to give ! You wonder What these Little Animals were thinking when they were in peril ? God Bless people who do this !
Aww what a blessing that Gilbert found this absolute angel of a woman to shower him with patient love. I was never a big chihuahua person myself, but my mom rescued an elderly (and very abused) chihuahua a few years ago. It took a long time for him to realize he wasn’t going to get screamed at or hit by us. Now, he’s energetic, smiles ear to ear, and is such a sweetheart. The whole neighborhood is in love with him lol
Awesome and thank you for sharing 💗🏠🐾
So happy he was rescued by your mom and now knows what it's like to be loved.
We have adopted 4 chihuahua’s from the animal rescue. Now I think the ONLY kind of dog is a chihuahua. My wife is away for a month and when she asks how are her kids I have to ask whether she is talking about the ones she gave birth to or the others . It’s always so cute when she says she gave birth to them all. We love these babies!
Yup… It makes me sad to see that there are so many people who hate chihuahuas and even abuse the poor things. We got a 2 year old chihuahua that was tortured by his previous owners and the poor thing could barely move after his surgery once we had gotten him. He was very defensive and growled a LOT but now he’s doing great and though doesn’t really like anyone except me and like 2 other people, he’s a lazy little critter that loves to zoom around the house after a good nap. They are wonderful breeds that get so deeply attached with one person though maybe not very social, they are my favorite because of how much love they give to their special chosen loved one.
I'm in awe of anyone who has adopted a dog and given it a good home. I was unsure if I was suited to handle any dog with trauma, or it's routines being wildely different from mine, so my first dog was from a breeder. The breeder being open for me dropping in unannounced and check on the puppies when ever I wanted made it the right thing to do for me then, but with the experience I've built up I'll probably adopt a middle aged or senior next time.
Gilbert has the cutest satisfied smile. That is his way of saying, "Thank you, mom."
People Who Abandon Animals Should Never Have Animals Of Children!!! 😠
Gilbert knows he is exactly where he was supposed to be all along! Good job understanding his senior needs!
GOD BLESS these people for adopting these beautiful animals!!
God bless you too for beautiful comment 🙏❤️🕊️
God saved this dog from dying when he was in the streets and when he was bounced around
❤️❤️❤️I ADORE Chihuahuas, I had a rescue many years ago called Spider, she was the bravest, hugest tiny dog I ever met. She loved potato peels. She taught me so much about being a loving, tough woman with boundaries! She is gone many years now, but I miss her every day. I'm so touched by your story of Gilbert, your good deed will bring you both much joy.
Spider sounds so awesome! How cute. Chihuahuas are so wonderful. Mine is the sweetest boy.
i'm sorry about Spider 😞i know the feeling...I want 2 of those cutest dogs ever, they're hard to find at a fair price or adoptions 🐕
@@loumason6120 Thank you for your sweet message! I am not in the US so I can't give you any ideas about specific organizations, but if you contact owners in your area to network for you I am sure you will succeed. YOUR DOG WILL FIND YOU, I sincerely believe this. Be patient and trust that your tiny furbaby may be around the next corner. ❤️🙏
@@loumason6120 if you can't find a chihuahua in a shelter, try reaching out to breed specific rescues. Every breed you can imagine have rescues that rescue and find homes only for that particular breed. I'm sure there are a ton of chihuahua rescues since that is a pretty popular breed. You might have to drive a little further than your neighborhood shelter but it's worth it. Its sooo much better to adopt a homeless dog than to shop. And that dog will be forever grateful you took him in. Good luck in your search! 🥰🥰🥰

Thank you for sharing your beautiful adopted dog 🐕 Gilbert with us... God bless you 🙏 for adopting him.... He has a forever home now.
Bless you for adopting a senior animal. They so often get overlooked by potential adopters. I guess because of fear with vet bills and lack of energy younger animals have. But....just goes to prove they are more calm, settled and the best little friends you can have. More senior animal adoptions please !!❤😊
👏
Yes! Seniors are so amazing!!!! You said it all!
Lots of younger dogs and cats love seniors too! and vice versa I will say also, a one year old tuxedo I rescued from being put down once was truly a senior at heart- he literally sat next to a Christmas tree each year! not going into it....just always the best little shadow and even would tell me when it was bed time, or to sit down etc.... they tend to be wise beyond their years...
and would go well with seniors. Plus when he was a senior someone gave us their four year old tuxedo whose cat was jealous of her (like this little guy in the video- she's just so cute.... it happened her whole life!) I couldn't send her back out there and kept her- she thought my senior cat was the best guy ever too! or once I had three seniors at once- that was hilarious- there was a whole order and mediator thing going on!!!
@@thecyclemedia Then they would be killed tho
I rescued my baby girl from the streets, she lasted 18 months surrounded by love, copious amounts of her favorite foods and tons of walks (at least 3 times a day) she was the best and deserved only the best on the remainder of her life, it's been 2 months now since she crossed the rainbow bridge and not a single day goes by that i wish i could give her one more hug, bebe Coco i miss you so much.
My dog passed away last spring and honestly in my heart I can't take another rainbow bridge event for a long time. I'd love to adopt a senior dog but I want more time with my beloved pet. Maybe it's selfish but we shouldn't judge everyone who decides to walk past the sweet old dog in a cage. They may have suffered a tragic loss and the pain is too great still for them to have to do it over again. Young dogs have issues too but you at least get more time with them usually. It would be better if I already had a dog living with me.
I have a rescue Frenchie. He had been passed to several homes because he doesn't like other dogs. His previous owner gave him up to be adopted because she had pit bulls that she knew wouldn't get adopted. It broke her heart. He was 8. Now he's 13 and going slow, but loved oh so much. And he still gets to see his first mom as she works at the vet we take him to.
I don't know why your comment made me so happy. The fact that your dog first Mama made such thoughtful choices when she realized that the dogs couldn't get along, or that the Frenchie still gets to see her... you're all doing such good in those dogs lives. Thanks 👍
@@goodasgoing Dogs, like people, should be loved by as many people as possible! At all times!

I adopted a senior Chihuahua and she was the best, sweetest little girl on the planet. She was our first dog and, like your sweetie, she was just dumped on the streets in the middle of winter. My daughter knew I was looking for a small dog and saw her when she first came up for adoption. We rushed right over and adopted her immediately. Best thing ever!
Gilbert is a CUTIE!!! Thank God above for the angels 😇 😇😇 who rescued this amazing senior dog!!! # SENIORDOGSROCK!!!
There is no greater joy than when an animal chooses you to be its person...glad Gilbert found his mama...God bless...
Totally agree. I’m so glad to hear people talking about the dog or cat choosing THEM. Cause it’s pretty powerful stuff when an animal of Amy kind decides you are it’s everything. Such a great video, I’m all mushy now & want to hold an animal so badly! Lol ☺️
What a cutie pie!!!!❤❤❤

That was so sweet of you to adopt him. Now he is spoiled and loved. What a happy ending for him.
Gilbert is the loveliest little dog around, his smile is contagious! 😊 thank you so much for adopting him and giving all the love and care he deserves in his senior years ❤
Gilbert looks exactly like a chihuahua my next-door neighbor had. Sidney was the TINIEST dog who had the fiercest (albeit high pitched) bark. Whenever I was outside, he would yap like he wanted to tear me apart. I would bend down to pet him and he would tremble and wag his tail with such exuberance. Best neighbor ever!
He’s adorable. Thank you for your kindness🦴🐾🐶
Omg, he’s so freaking cute. So glad he has a good home.
Oh my god how cute he is! It feels safe to know that you are taking good care of him.❤😊

He's forever smiling, thanks to you!
What an adorable pup ❤
Great that you mention scented candles. In fact, collapsed trachea or not, scented candles should have nothing to do in a house with dogs. Their noses are so fine and they pick up scent way earlier than we do. Our scents annoy their noses and it's not nice to force them to live in a scented environment.
Same is true with scented cat litter.
@@sidneymcfadden3857 Yes, that's right. Poor cats who have to use this kind of litter.
Too true...and if you are using anything essential oil based then many of them can actually be toxic to pets.
Oh jeez, that's a shame and a bummer! Now hows about air fresheners and plug-ins etc??? Pretty common stuff in a home...
@@itsmeTaraLee That's the same thing. Same goes for car fresheners. If you have pets, you should throw these out if you are a responsible pet owner.

@Spen For1 When it’s not known what happened to Gilbert, (maybe you heard her say that?) don’t assume that his previous person was SUCH A SCUMBAG!!!! All kinds of things happen that we have no control over!
@@63artemisia63 Excuse me!!! Yes things happen but to dump an old small dog like that is cruel!!! Did you not HEAR HER SAY maybe the owner died and the family did not want to deal with him or that he may have been a breeding dog?? So yes people are scumbags!!!!!
I have to agree with the follow upcomment, but All my life, I've had several pets, in fact, ALWAYS had pets both dogs & cats, my parents always did, I have, etc... Etc....but I've NEVER had to give up a pet. I've had apartment situations like others stories I hear, but I ( and really every family member I've known)has always just had to default to what was best to live keeping the pet...there was simply NO CHOICE. No one should've taking in an animal if you can ever forsee being without it, or even not taking topnotch care of it. You brought in a new family member really, so treat it as such. If you think this comment or positions extreme, perhaps you should rethink your feelings and priorities before getting that pet. If not, sorry, you're a " scum bag".
@@ameliaadams6380 So true!!!! 🖒 I grew up with pets also!!! 😊 Dogs, cats, rabbits and chickens!!! Can't remember ever not having a friend!!! 💖 My Mom loved animals and had them growing up too!!!! 💕 Absolutely you do whatever is necessary to take care of them!!!
