    My uncle had a Guzheng and I’m learning with your videos. Question: What do you mean by duds? I really may be brain dead :(

      dots? That's part of the simplified notation scores. You will need the textbook to accompany these videos.

      She meant dots and or dot depending on the octave the note is at. So in western classical music the octave symbol looks like 8va written on sheet music because of the limited space when there’s a part they want you to play octave above. Octave just means you’re playing the same note in the next octave above or below the written note. Like for example on a keyboard 🎹 the middle note C. The next octave in the note c is the next higher pitch c. Depends it could be 2 octave higher to or 3 or 4. 😂 but in GuZheng just one octave 😅

      Yes, blossom is for you to get familiar with the scale.
