I like sima I really do but to pay 6-7 million after half a season I don’t think is great business I’d like another loan If possible but Brighton will probably want to cash in
Sima into the final year of his contract I'm sure mate so they probs won't loan. Hopefully can sign him for 3-5 million
@@PervcoPlasticPaddy not one for me. Too injury prone.
Too injury prone. Even before he arrived here. Brighton must think we are mugs.
Get him on another loan with a 5m Fee
@@Megatron1873£5m is nothing to Brighton. They would never accept that because they don’t need the money. Brighton would rather send the player out and if he performs they can sell him for more, or use him in their own team. Plus, if they do decide to get rid of Sima there are other clubs out there who will pay more than £5m for him right now - He got 16 goals last season.
This is the best rangers podcast on RUclips. Derek is a fabulous host and Joshua’s analysis is excellent. The other guys are good also. CJ Novo is great as well, these are the two podcasts I watch. This one is the best for me though, the fact the guys speak to fans from other clubs about players that we are looking to sign is brilliant. No one else does this, these guys found the gap.
Me too . But you got to mention stone cold stevie. 😅
Derek is heading for TV. Hes that good.
Why is this manager forcing Hagi out the club? Players like Scott wright unlimited opportunities played 74 matches 7 goals 2 assists. ….Hagi 99 appearances 16 goals 21 assists .
He’s forcing him out because he’s not going to start and he’s on 21k a week
He should be starting or at least given a chance .Scott wright 20k per week and hopeless but still there. Hope he has a great euros as it will be an embarrassment to the manager who rated Silva 😳..
@@Bulldog55 Scott wright’s on 5k and fills the Scottish quota for home grown players but I agree he shouldn’t be anywhere near rangers cuz he’s terrible . Hagi’s slow and has done nothing for years now time cut are losses and sell him with the transfer fee received plus his wage we could in decent player that contributes
He is jus anotha roofe, always injured even before he got that longtime injury he was constantly getting small injuries, Not gd enuff plus he so slow, Clement clearly wants pace
Rrahmani now.Punt Goldson,Tav,Lammers & Hagi(14-15 million for these four?).Bring in Kelly,Johnson,Galdames,Walters,Garcia,Kabadayi & Miovski(9.5 million ish?).Maybe McNair on a free as cover with Balogun.Wait for Sima & Shankland(6 million plus a pre-contract in January).4 million for Cortes next summer.
If those 4 are worth £15m we should keep them. We need that kind of quality.
David, Kelly is wae too small for his position imo
@@neilmaclean294 Kelly will never play for Rangers. He is only being signed because he is Scottish and homegrown.
I'm worried about so many players from South America, it's a massive culture change for them and they have struggled to settle in the past. Let's hope they can be like Morelos and settle well. They really need to get players with the right mentality, people who know that it's, dark, cold, wet and miserable most of the year. Beale told us he has focused on the mentality side by looking into their eyes apparently but looks how that turned out.
Good work Lenny
If selling lammers = Rrahmani surely selling lammers + hagi = Miovski. The way I look at it is yes you can do sum stat report or even get sum Romanian journalists onto say how great Rrahmani is but why take the chance when Miovski’s there yes he might cost a little bit more but he’s proven in the league and won’t need time to adopt to Scotland it’s a no brainer
He's got no pace, we need pace,
If we sign Rramani, I will back him. Certainly looks way more of a goalscorer than Dessers or Lammers did last summer. I have grown to appreciate Dessers despite his clear limitations. He would be good for rotation with Danilo and at least one other goal scoring striker for the league. I would honestly though take Shankland first. I want quality foreign players but I want some Scots in our team. Italian teams keep a strong core of their own and their league thrives. We need a blend. If Rramani signs though unlike Lammers in particular, I would back the lad to do well.
The Italian league hasn't thrived since the 90s bud 😂
Their clubs are riddled with debt.
Germany is a better comparison. The way their league is run looks to be the best to me.
Hopefully we get somebody good, and stay well clear of duds like shankland.
@@Weeji_420 Oh I am not saying the German league isn't run better financially. Purely though in a football sense, I admire leagues that invest in their game and football talent within their own country as a priority first. The product overall on the park in Serie A is fantastic. Though it was better in the 90s, it is still of a very high standard. My overall point is I want to see us go for and buy the best Scottish talent. Keep more of the the money in our game and as the level goes up within other clubs, we will benefit also in better standards of football and we can continue that investment along with adding talent from outside. We need to be more insular and look after our own league first and grow the game here.
@@rangersnut i agree that we need to build our league, but that's SFAs job, I only care about Rangers.
I think NOT buying the best players from the smaller clubs is a better way to improve the league. As all we are doing is weakening them.
We must bring our own youngsters through though.
Rangers and Celtic have the pick of all the young kids from school onwards. We should have easily have the best academy players in the country.
@@Weeji_420 That's a fair point mate and a good one at that. We should be promoting and playing more of our own and if our own aren't good enough, cut them free and find more who are. I still feel though in the big picture it would be better if we pick the players up with real potential from other teams than seeing them go to over seas leagues and make big money for their teams, when they could be making big bucks for us and helping us to win titles etc.
@@rangersnut On the subject of dessers, i wouldnt be comfortable with him rotating out. we've seen time and again him missing crucial chances which have cost us games. Thinking back to the county game and obviously a couple of old firms to name a few. You can't have players in the team who are so hot and cold like dessers is. I would move him out and take 2m for him if possible. Lovelace is a much better option to be on rotating duties providing he recovers from the injury he got. Danillo, rahmani, lovelace would my preference
How far from 100% being fit is Danilo and Cortes?
Hopefully ready for start of the season. It would be good to get an update though.
Why are we not going for Shankland or Miovski both proven in the SPFL, No gamble with either of them and a few million less
What about the Lad from Sampdoria we were interested in?
Sell tav and goldson let Stevie g have them and then buy simi
Agree with first part but we cant spend alot on Sima, injured all time before he signed for us and injured for majority he was at us
@@bryanf9042 true pal but he has more heart than tav and goldson
Kent was full of tricks and sima is just sima got goals and a totally different player from wat Kent was.
Why go for this guy, Shankland and Mivoski is on doorstep.
That's why we didn't win league
Yeah I don't get why year after year we swerve past Shankland and blow millions for guys that won't score as many goals
Aye would be happy with either of them. Zero resell on shanks but absolute goal machine
I like Miovski and would like to see him here but given we've signed NO SCOTS maybe Shanks would be a better option won't get ££ back for him but at leastweknow he can score goals. Sima was v.good at the start but once he got his first injury he wasn't fit for more than 2 games at a time and I think £7 mil is too much to take a chance on.
Even £3 to £4 million is too big a punt for us based on his injury history. Sima is a good player, but if our transfer strategy has really changed for the better, for me that means if we see repeated injury with players we shoukd be seeing that, in neon writing, to avoid at all costs. When we don't have a lot to spend we have to maximise what we do have and give oursleves a hand up by signing only guys who look robust.
How many seasons like last one and in Gios time and even Gerrards must we suffer with injury prone players before the penny drops? I am hopeful under Koppen real change is happening. Not signing Sima would confirm that for me.
I agree on Shanks. We need more Scots in this team.
Shankland is a must for me. aye he will cost about 4/5million,but will he return a higher figure to the club thru making the difference and winning the league? Quite possibly. And imo it’s worth the gamble
Shankland is not a better option than mivoski imo. Hes almost 30yrs old, very slow and only going to get slower and would probably cost something similar to mivoski. If we could secure shankland for under 2m i'd be open to that but thats never going to happen.
@yogaflame7884 Miovski would be the better buy for that money, Shankland though would do the business for us also, it would need to be for the right price. Having only a year left on his deal Hearts can't command the fee they think, however he isn't 30 still, 28. He will be 29 by the start of the new season but he could easily play with good conditions up to another 3 to 5 years at the top. If we could get him for £1.5 million and even offer the likes of Souttar as well as a sweetener I would.
Fabio Silva, one of the worst players we've ever had, good riddance!
Yeah he really was pish. Though Wolves must be raging with him and what they paid.
Sima will be another ryan kent
What's a Ryan Kent ?
Sima is another expensive sick note in waiting. The club has to wise up. If we want our manager not to to constantly be juggling those on the treatment table, signings like this have to stop and be seen as a potential red flag. I like Sima, but if you look at how regularly he has been injured it doesn't play out well for me.
Here is his injury record:
23/24 Hamstring injury 47 days -
23/24 Hamstring injury 65 days Rangers FC13
21/22 Groin injury 98 days Stoke CitySenegal26
21/22 Back injury 32 days Stoke CitySenegal7
21/22 Ankle injury 35 days Stoke CitySenegal9
21/22 Fitness 16 days SK Slavia Prague1
20/21 Groin injury 28 days SK Slavia Prague8
Kai Fotheringham is Scottish, 21 years old and has a current market value of £350k. A steal and can play RW and cover LW as well. What's wrong with Scottish players? Lewis Ferguson was once around that price, then Aberdeen sold him for £2million. He is now Serie A midfielder of the year and Bologna Captain.
I am all for good foreign players but we need quality Scottish guys as well. Save the Sima cash, go buy David Watson, Lennon Miller and Kai Fotheringham with the same money. Miller and Watson are both market valued at around £1 million each, Kai would £400k tops. That's £2.4 million that could generate big money and everyone of them has first team football under their belt and some experience at great ages. Or we can waste money on Sima, hell throw in Souttar as a make weight for Hearts and the rest of the rest of the Sima money could net us Shankland to add fire power, wing options and midfield options.
@@williamn01 a waste of money
@@rangersnut You play to much football manager , transfer market is alot of nonsense they've got Cantwell valued at 8.5million , how do you seem to know which price 3 clubs will sell their players for ?
@@rangersnutYou ever thought that these young Scottish players don't want to join us?
It's not like the old days, when it was pretty much their only option, they can go to league one and earn more money. Clubs from Europe now sniffing about our league because the players are cheap.
The SPL is terrible. If you want a good career you need to leave Scotland.
If rangers sign sima and gets Injured against spl henchmen Clement will get slaughtered hes under pressure as soon as next season's balls kicked, we,r a european team players who have been there to long cant hack it and predictable as fuk now, get good price for hagi he cant hack it here, imo sue me
looking at Rrahmani, at least 5 of his goals came from pens..Not impressed with his "season highlights" obviously means nothing in the grand scheme of things.
So? How many of Taverniers goals have come from pens and you've got people acting shocked he's got so many goals from right back.
@@davidp8380 I think you have answered your own question there.. Tav is a Rightback.. Not a striker. Tav has scored 9 goals in open play.. I have just looked at that Rrahmanis numbers and he hasnt played alot of games, so his goals to games ratio is pretty good away from pens. But I put this comment in there as I knew someone would bring Tav up.. must be shite having a RB that has scored 9 goals in open play and 12 assists.
@@jmckenzie5402 I'm not talking about one season I'm talking about all his goals at the club. What's shite is having a rb that can't defend and consistently costs us goals in big games. Idk what you mean though, the only question I've asked is what your point is. It's literally impossible for me to answer that question. So this gotcha moment that you think you've just got only exists in your own head 😂
@@davidp8380 good point
@@davidp8380 another great point. Preach 👏
So much shite .
Can’t manage Hagi , Walter Smith handled Gaza! This guy is no man manager and can only play one set formation. After an initial bounce the quality of football awful too. Looks like another poor appointment from the club.,
Sima aint much better than Sakala, but Sakala was always Fit, both players frustrated the life at me at times but would cause chaos with there pace, scoring the hard 1s and missing the easy 1s, with that said and with Sima always injured (even before we signed him) a jus cant believe how many fans want him.back, especially when its going to cost us a fortune
Miovski springs to mind....cant get head around why we would spend 5m on another random.
Links ,links ,links lol they are away on holiday fuck all be happening in the next few weeks . Euro's are on
Can someone tell me , why so many left sided players being linked , we desperately need right sided players , with mccausland and tav I feel right side is very weak
Because every club in the world is looking for left sided players , as these players are hard to come by especially quality ones , so got to get in and move fast .
@williamn01 maybe but we need right sided more than left , that was my point
Live show in York pls
