I’m 27 years old and when my dad goes away for work I’ll go over and have a sleepover with my mum 😂 I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a strong mum and daughter relationship. You’re not going to have your parents around forever so it’s best to spend as much time with them as possible, especially if you don’t live close by to them.
Yasmine is stunning and classy. She's openly warm-hearted and sweet whereas Sheila is more reserved. I wouldn't have my guest change dirty nappies, but Yasmine is such a good sport about it. This shows how unspoiled she is in spite of her wealth. Yasmine would make a great wife and mother one day.
I feel so bad for Yasmin. She’s so nice and genuinely wanted to learn and she got one of the worst hosts I think I’ve ever seen on this show. most of the hosts do a budget breakdown with the rich kid maybe makes them go shopping to understand how much things cost but mostly it’s about connecting with them understanding them and trying to make them understand you and I’ve seen in most of these episodes, it works, but this woman just used Yasmin as a maid and made her do a bunch of work including changing her kids diaper. this woman was just jealous and resentful. not to mention totally wasted her parents efforts your parents left their home country to try and give you a better life and you can’t even get a job. You can’t even get with a man who will get a job like I understand some people are poor, but you don’t get to whine about it when you’re making no effort to be any different.
My first question. At least one of them should be working full-time. If he can't work for some reason then he should stay home with the children while she works. Having a hard time finding sympathy if both of them are sitting home with the kids and living off government assistance. If you don't want to work and raise multiple children then don't raise multiple children. Is he the father of the children? She says he helps so much but I'm not seeing it. If he's the father he doesn't get a gold star for helping out around the house. Surely there is something I'm missing.
Because they leave their country to take advantage of the system, they lie saying they fear for their lives ,they are disgusting but it’s not their fault,it’s the UK ‘s fault
Jasmin is a really good person and never said something negative unlike the Host she was really jealous and mean to her!! Why make Yasmin change diaper, why Miguel's so disrespectful?!? Nothing wrong if Yasmin lives with her mother actually that very positive as rich kids. Also Yasmin came to learn not to judge her all time. The host was horrible person vs Yasmin.
It’s funny how countries with lower birth rates also put so much burden on parents to handle so much. You can’t have it both ways! If children are the future, you have to support parents.
Probably because child care costs as much as she’d make. That’s why my husband works & I stay home with my kids. I’d actually make less than daycare for my 2 girls would cost. But one of them needs to get a J•O•B
Question: Your parents took you away from Mexico to have a better life, but you turned around and not just had one baby out of marriage, but two. You didn’t make good use of choices to have the life your parents wanted you to have. So, not sure I can have pity on the mother in this episode. Whereas, Jasmin, may be not so frugal - she clearly is not taking her advantages for granted. Therefore, this episode is proving that with good choices made, you have more opportunity and with bad choices you have less.
I agree! Shayla complained about how difficult it was to get the children up and down the stairs (an honest complaint!!). Miguel should have been helping her and going out with her and the kids.
I agree, where was he when those girls packed those babies all the way down those stairs. We know he wasn’t working, maybe he was getting some much needed beauty sleep

I was coming to comment on those same 2 points but you had same thoughts & said it better. No WAY some woman I JUST met would change my baby’s diaper or carry them down all those stairs, no way in hell. I would’ve made 2 trips. My kids are too precious. I think they should’ve given the girl the room & the bum Miguel sleep on the couch. & she hasn’t cleaned that washing machine drawer, it was filthy! Making that girl clean your mess. Shame on her
changing the diaper, carrying the kids around, all the cleaning that she made her do the mom is definitely trying to make this a bad experience it makes sense though she seemed pretty resentful the whole episode.
She maybe rich but she is kind. Why doesnt the man work as it would certainly help finances. I would have thought pre packaged vegetables was more expensive than loose. What about more fruit
this family feels sham like. the lady has been in uk since 9 years old. now, in her 20's and not working. an able bodied husband, not working. and complaining about not liking the apartment because of the stairs. shayla wants yasmin to be her maid and is super jealous of the girl. yuck.
I mean..... 1. Why aren't any of them working? I see them as able-bodied people, if Miguel works as a retailer or even in construction, their lives would've been better. or Shayla as a cleaner, even part-time would be a huge improvement. 2. You're on benefits, yet still decide to have not 1, but 2 babies? Yeah not smart..... Sometimes the "poor" people just bring it on themselves....
Why isn’t Miquel working? He’s young and fit. Shayla acts like she was forced to have children at a young age. It was her decision to have children young and the consequences of her own actions. She tried to act like she was better than Yasmin imo. I thought watching this show I would dislike Yasmin because she had every advantage in life but Yasmin was respectful and kind. I ended up not liking Shayla at all!!
I couldn’t agree with you more ,she is actually not a nice person, jealous of people with money .They are both sucking the government dry ,that’s what they do ,they lie saying they fear for their lives where they come from .They are also incapable to better themselves ( which civilized people let their kids write on walls ?? )
Please don't come for me but rather educate me because I am confused 🤔 Why wouldn't one of them get a job if they are financially stressed? Also if you are stressed about choosing whom to buy for then proceed to have another child. I know a few people in the us where I live if you are on benefits you have to prove that you are looking for work to continue receiving those benefits.
Hmmm my best guess is maybe they think rising children is also a job & they have lazy traits to get a real job in term of gaining money. Well that's just my opinion from what I see of their attitudes on this show. This show was maybe scripted but I could see whether that's not scripted

My husband and I both "come from money".. we were 19 & 21 when we had our first daughter, were left to our own by our families, 24 & 26 had our second. We would have loved to have more children, but as I stayed home with ours, financially, more would have been irresponsible. They're now 19 & 15, and there's been no "accidents" since.. these kids didn't ask to be born into their life, just like the "poor" kids didn't.. and I find it very telling that often the "rich" people have only ONE maybe two kids.. and also, a massive credit limit isn't RICH, you're indebted. My father had his own plane, his ex wife took it 😂.. It's life ✌️

You can see by their body how much they struggle to have food to eat 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ "I'm very hungry, want meat not beans and tomatoes" 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ doing nothing all day and just eat
I don't think the host was mean. She showed what her life was about. In all episodes they ask the rich child to do chores, for them to realise how it us when you don't have someone to do it for you. What surprises me is that rich children aren't learning how to cook, clean etc. That has nothing to do with being rich or not. They have even the chance to learn from (hired) chefs, how cool would that be. Doing your own laundry is nothing to be ashamed of whatever is in your (parents) bank account.
When people mention a reality check - ok, I get it in a way, but if 2 adults are on a gov support it is a reality check for them tbh...why wouldn't her husband work? These money and housing are also not 'free' - come out of taxes...he is capable, he should work and provide for the kids. Being on a budget is essential, I am sure majority of people know how to budget, but being apprehensive towards someone who has money while your family relies on the government while popping out kids - common...Very irresponsible...
It seems as if Shayla is way more judgmental than Yasmin... which is ridiculous because Yasmin, out of all the other "rich kids" or young adults from my point of view, is not extremely unreasonable. Yasmin is super sweet relatable and seems humble and the fact that Shayla keeps throwing the word "mature" out there in association to Yasmin isnt nice or fair at all. Even when Yasmin described her parents as very generous to her with no sense of entitlement and is going in to experience/expand her knowledge on other peoples life and social status off social media is genuine. It seems Shayla can learn alot from her... like why is nobody in her household working at least per diem or part time? She seems to carry this chip on her shoulder when there are several ways and means of raising her income to debt ratio. I mean, for 1 Yasmin doesnt have dependents, chose to persue studies (which there is aid for people who chose study in tight financial predicaments) and is not married to anyone much less a man in a worse or same financial predicaments...neither of them express actively trying to change or grow in life. which is beyond me. 2 babies! under toddler age which is one of the most expensive stages of life. With no sure or solid way to provide for them say a greal deal about HER "maturity" and integrity as a mother.
I don’t know why everyone in the comments is so mad at the host family. It’s part of the show for the hosts to teach the rich kid as many lessons as possible. There was nothing wrong with them and they were real with her. Actually yazmin was very entitled by complaining to her friend that she had to change a nappie and do washing!! As for the shopping- even tho they eat tomato every day, common sense tells us that those tomatoes plus the tin tomatoes were way too many for a week!!
I think a more practical useful gift would be better. I’m only at the part where she gives the girl a stuffed animal. A favorite stuffie is fine, too many stuffed animals are useless & take up space. My opinion anyway.
All the benefits are not helping. Able bodied person should go out to work to earn their living. We do not have benefits here so you need to work to survive. And why have two kids when you are not able to afford? It’s really about your own life choices…
It is nice to see a young woman & rearing her kids while young( nowadays women often wait until over 30).She has a very helpful partner.I hope they did well in life as this is suppose to be old. Her guest was a lovely young woman too
Yep a lot of geriatric pregnancies these days. This is the proper term for anyone who is pregnant over the age of 35 as this increases risk of complications like defects, miscarriages, stillbirths.
Mum getting her license opens up opportunities for the whole family- Being able to get to a job and earn money, weekends away, easier for Mum to get the weekly groceries etc. Husband doesn't deserve any benefits.
She SHOULD have spent more time OUTDOORS BEFORE she got pregnant .. just saying... 🤭... Condoms cost way less that another child does.... $1.00 for a lb of ham.. WOW this episode is really old.. LOL
I know it’s been many years since I’ve seen this, but I watched one of their episodes on RUclips and I thought then and I still think now that knowing their situation with the food instead of buying her 10 hours of driving lessons she could’ve bought them food for probably six months for what she paid for that. she probably has kids of her own now and as soon as she left, she probably went back to her old daily habits of spending all that money and didn’t even think about that afterwards because they never do
The driving lessons will lead to more independence and productivity. Shayla needs a reality check and Miguel needs to get a job. Besides, they were paid to do this. If she hadn't paid for the lessons, they wouldn't have done it themselves and continued victimized themselves....it would have never happened.
She can spend all the money she wants! Rich girls parents work very hard to give their daughter the best life possible- maybe the broke ass parents should do better for their kids!
Jazmin parents are middle class not rich , her parents bought her a average car ! Me and my sibnlings got 100k each for xmas once my Dad owned a civil construction company neting 500k some yrs . My siblings university paid by my.parents

They have even the chance to learn from (hired) chefs, how cool would that be. Doing your own laundry is nothing to be ashamed of whatever is in your (parents) bank account.
Yasmine is so beautiful!!
I like the rich kids attitude more than the poor ppl. The envy shows way too much.
What busy morning routine. Sheila chose to havee kids at 19, her choice
“ we live different lives but we are not necessarily different people “ the girl is delusional
The commenter is harsh on all of these. These kids may be rich but they’re wonderful and learn fast
Ja I’m glad the mum got treated.
Scraping away with the metal spatula on the non-stick pan. No idea what she's costing that family...
What a sweet, sweet girl.
are least 2 girls n can save n hand down from child to child
To say some of those clothes are expensive there horrible I've been at the bottom now earning saving and get money every month to myself
I’m confused did she buy her a book on how to drive? That’s it?
She also bought Shayla some driving lessons
Parents should raise children, not money.😮😇 These kids miss out the meaning of life.
Eating enchiladas with a spoon 😮😮😮
Why isn't Miguel working?
Tomato soup. Tomato and egg oh did she buy eggs
She’s pretty rich girl that’s for sure
Perhaps Yasmin could send a coat to the young mom with gloves.
Why is her other half not out working
No offense but why that man only sitting around ??!!
I feel this host could have been better. More like this is my life, like it’s not jasmines fault.
Miquel should get a job asap
very good... but rich girls ... should give a bigger gift to the families struggling
Why?
This is an old episode….
I think she could of gave a better gift that would benefit the whole family
It will. They have to work for it. A small step is a hand up not a hand out. And that dude needs to get a job like yesterday.
Mum getting her license opens up opportunities for the whole family-
Being able to get to a job and earn money, weekends away, easier for Mum to get the weekly groceries etc.
Husband doesn't deserve any benefits.
Why doesn't she have a job?
Two kids and not married -
She's 24! Why even have a kid in the first place!
