Rich or Not ANDREA is a gorgeous Human being with great compassion and empathy and understanding
He is really empathetic for someone with his background. He manages to not come off really snobbish in a bad way... we know Andrea is going to buy someone some shoes 😂
I like the dad also, he dosen't dispare, he takes things as they are & just tries to make the best of it. He is so calm with things.. I hope he dosen't bottle up to mutch..

Such a poised empathetic young man, it’s so easy to think the rich are obnoxious and stuck up but Andrea can easily change your perception on that, his empathy really touched me ❤

Whether you're rich or poor or in between, having manners is what gives you class. He was spoiled by money but you can see he was taught manners growing up and to be respectful. Even when he hates something he tries to put on a good face about it.
Andrea’s parents taught him to be a good person, he is respectful and he seems to be really affected by the family. He is compassionate and empathethic. Not everyone is born with compassion or empathy. I have seen parents who are ecompassionate and empathetic but the kids does not have those traits.
I've seen this fabulous series years ago. This episode my favourite. I adore Andrea and David and his daughters. I wish I can meet genuinely kind and fun people like this. They would be friends for life.

Andrea acted spoiled in the introduction but actually seemed genuine and humble human being in reality. the way he introduced himself to the two girls and not very judgmental inside only looked worried. he is actually seemed really kind.

This was my first time ever seeing this show and I can’t even tell you how much my heart was touched. Andrea is a really sweet young man and the family was just beautiful! What an amazing introduction to your show, I’ll definitely be watching again.
The David said it’s depressing since he has very little. He has a lot more than most ppl; he has two lovely and beautiful girls who love him. To me, that’s rich. This is the best lesson Andrea learned; hopefully it will benefit him later on in life. Just a few items of Andrea materials can ease the family finances. Everybody is so lovely. This is the best episode.
sometimes, you do feel bad about your financial situations because you aren't able to give your kids the life they deserve.. not necessarily get super rich but just enough to be comfortable. have your own vehicle to go anywhere, a descent house with a big yard and safe neighborhood, being able to buy QUALITY HEALTHY groceries and not the cheap garbage foods you can afford, being able to enroll them to programs and sports clubs, bring them to good quality education, go for a good experience vacation like able to afford to pay trains, horse riding in famous destinations while staying in a good hotels.. you know what I mean.
16:53 I actually love how he has that realisation, some rich kids would have been more like „well, they just got dealt bad cards in life, bad luck“ and chugged it off. And for him to realise how well he has it really shows he’s a good person
He’s so soft hearted. I would have never thought he was going to feel the hurt in his heart.
At first I thought Andrea was going to be out of touch. But, wow, he really surprised me. He demonstrated compassion, understanding and he has a open mind. He was raised by good people.
David is such a sweet father, "oh baby, don't accept that". Such a beautiful presence in their lives.

I was impressed with how much thought he put into the groceries and it showed . It's not hard to see why the girls are crushing on him !
I went to a third world country some years ago, and when I came home I felt such immense guilt for what I did have even though here in the US Im considered low income. I realized that “low income” was wealth in other countries. I may not have much in the bank in comparison, but I manage what I have well, have little debt, and am blessed beyond measure!

Exact same happened to me after living in the slum with my south American inlaws for a few months. We have so much more just by having things like heat, floors, roofs that don't leak, and relative saafety

Sometimes in life we have to walk in other people shoes. Its nothing wrong with having but think about the other person.
This is one of the most touching episodes I've seen. Andrea's empathy for the family and their situation was unlike anything I'd seen from any of the other "rich kids". I loved seeing the bond between David and the girls and their guest.

It's crazy how the government could get people working in so many countries just by offering childcare and after school care.

@@Wyz369 do chefs only work night shifts? And even if he studied to be a chef, he can still work at many other things. He could become a private chef for a family, or a cook in a school cafeteria, give cooking lessons, or even just sell his own food, pastries, cakes or something.
And even if he can’t do any of those things for whatever reason, he could become a Uber driver, do deliveries, and countless other things. Is it ideal? No, of course not. But it’s still work, despite not being your dream job it will put food on your daughters plate.

This family was awesome but Andrea was SOO HUMBLED and had me in tears for him realizing other peoples way of life 😢❤

First episode of this I've ever seen. Loved it! Andrea is so empathic despite his claims of being a cold person! 7 years on, I really hope David and his kids have moved on to a more comfortable financial situation and things got better.

I absolutely did (NOT) want this story to end. I cried so many tears of joy watching all of them interacting in such a kind and gentle way. Young daughters are so sweet and thoughtful. Precious young ladies. Father is so appreciative. Handsome in his own way. Love his cheeky sense of humor. Love the spa mask moment. Pray they stay in touch. Perfectly matched with this integration of two different lifestyles. We're all the same at the end of the day. Money affords the individual to have upgrades on so many levels. Basis in life that makes a delicious cake ❤ and all cakes start out with the same basis ingredients...you can embellish that cake or not...still a cake 🫠🤗I truly enjoyed seeing the joy from this new friendship. Group hugs/mash-up brought on mega tears. Girls have this new, exciting, loving new friend. Dad hated to see him go, and so did the girls. I'm so happy I watched this positive video. Good for all us...a lot of us, take things for granted. 🙏🫶
I love that these guys are more genuine and less self-conscious about their differences than in some of the other episodes, that allows them to have an authentic connection.

You know this series really reminds me how sustainable I am living. Most of my clothes are comparably old and I try to avoid overconsumption. Sometimes when we order food or fly somewhere I feel quite bad for my ecological footprint. And then I watch this series and I am like yeah I am doing just fine, it’s the rich people who would have the most impact

Yes Andrea is a kind compassionate human, That is why I was surprised he didn't give his watch away.After all $10.000 would be a drop in the bucket to him. That same amount of money would get the family out of debt and $$$ more month for food and supplies.

At the beginning I thought Andrea was a spoiled posh brat who took pride in being that way. But he surprised me. He has a genuine heart and you can see he’s a good person deep down. I think London has a negative effect on him to be something he’s not nor ever could be. I hope he stays true to himself and continues to show the world the real side of him! You can love fashion and art and all the beautiful things and not have to conform to the toxic underbelly of it all. I really ended up liking him in the end.
The funny thing is Andreas is wearing designer ripped jeans, whereas David has neat and unholed jeans.
It's ironic. A very wealthy friend I had at University used to slum it and go shoeless.

I’m American and watching this show actually made me cry. It’s very hard being poor. In America you can be poor and not be able to afford healthcare. Which is horrible. First time I’ve ever seen this show and it’s very touching.

It was so nice to see that Andrea had such an open mind toward the home & lack of niceties where he stayed & he did well on the shopping trip. He is a very sensitive person & not bratty at all. I think he meant it when he said the next time he was about to spend on a very expensive item he will count to 10 & think of the family so may not buy. It was also nice to see that they are keeping in touch. The family was very special. The girls are so bright & loving & David seems to be a very good father. It wasn't exactly explained how he became a single father they only mention the woman went back to work? Anyway, I really enjoyed the people & the concept of the swap..

My children and I were homeless for many many years, no help from my parent's, siblings, relatives or so called friends .... We finally have a home and I take NOTHING for granted 💯
