Single-handed, he destroyed two Patton tanks with his recoil-less, Jeep-mounted gun, barely 200 metres from the enemy. Every Indian Army Chief still visits his widow to express kind gratitude to this brave man who came from Uttar Pradesh's village. Even today, his home remains a pilgrimage for all Indian Armymen.
