    This video can be improved by having a clearer visual explanation of which screw is the backcheck valve, especially if the viewer is adjusting a TS4000, which has an extra adjustment screw. Never assume that the viewer has any idea what each screw does. Just a few more seconds on each adjuster would make the whole thing far more usable.
    It is incredibly difficult to find clear, concise adjustment explanations of your products in English. A simple online document with simple, step-by-step instructions would be great too.
    Thanks.

    I got it installed and set correct but with hard wind the door opens by itself.. what do i need to adjust?

    • @GEZEGlobal
      @GEZEGlobal  2 года назад +1

      Hi Wesley Hayen, the fact that the door is thrown open by the wind can actually only be completely prevented by a lock latch. The door closer keeps the door closed, but only with a certain force (closing force). It makes no sense to simply increase the closing force, as this would lead to a loss of comfort. The correct solution to the problem would be to make sure that the door runs properly into the latch. The latching action can help with this.

    what to do if i destroyed the heads of 3 plastic screws?

    • @GEZEGlobal

      Hello Robert Pjeter, thank you for your question. An exchange of permanently installed parts of a door closer is not possible for security reasons, also the plastic screws! For technical questions, please contact our GEZE Service team at service-info.de@geze.com. Our team is happy to help you! KR, your GEZE team

      Hi Robert, what did you do in the end? Did you manage to fix this? I have exactly the same problem and Geze asks me to pay 450€ to replace the whole mechanism, when new costs 100€.

      Hello. Geze assumes no responsibility for anything. Best u can't do is that u never buy their products.
      If u already killed the *#mindblowing plastic screws#*, u can drill a small hole into the plastic screw, crew in a HiLo or similar screw till it's stuck and use it as a pot meter

    I confirm plastic screws are a very bad solution, these screws are damaged after the first service.

    Can you tell me how to set it so it does not slam when closing? I set 2 and 3 to minimum(turned maximum right) but it sill slams.Is there a way to slow it only below 10 degrees?

      Hello @Cagri Kose, thank you for your comment. On which kind of door do you have the door closer? Please find here the concrete installation instructions: bit.ly/3ldvPoL . We would not recommend to set it down below 10 degrees, but it depends on many factors. Please follow the manual. If you have further questions, please use our callback-service here, it's better to describe and discuss it personally: www.geze.com/en/services/contact/callbackservice. Thank you and have a nice day - BR, your GEZE team

    One thing i will never understand is why GEZE insist on using plastic adjustment screws for the speed adjustments, one slip and its chewed. Its not as if it only costs 10 euros and you can just throw it away and fit another one. I know so many people who complain about this. But at least its a good way to make people buy more of a bad product, a 2 cent palstic screw can ruin a 130 euro product. Come on GEZE you can do better than this. I have fitted a huge variety of GEZE products over the years, which are actually very good, but not those damn plastic shit adjustment screws. By the way DORMA has metal screws which you can adjust with Allen Keys and a straight screwdriver.

      Hello Mojo Man, thank you for your comment! The advantages of the plastic screws lie in the temperature behavior of the plastic, it compensates for temperature differences better than screws made of metal. We do not produce "bad products" with cheap materials, but we at GEZE take a closer look at our products to get the best product quality for our customers and in this case we are convinced that these platic screws are better for the product in its entirety. The use of plastic screws has good and long-term reasons that only benefit the product and the users. We are pleased to invite you to one of our product training courses to show you how and why the plastic screws work. If you are not interested, we wish you a lot of fun with other products. @@GEZEGlobal Why not use a hard plastic or metal alloy with low expansion coefficient? We've had the same problem, with the soft plastic head being easily destroyed, thus requiring a complete replacement of the unit. If this happens again, we will obviously look for a non-Geze unit to replace with.
