Casemiro going would be a big boost to the club. If he and Rashford can be moved on and half their wages taken off the books, that will help the club afford two new young players on sensible wages of 100k each - and bank 100k a week. Erickson on 200k a week at his age ? Bwahahaha, who agreed to that?? 🤡🤡🤡🤡
Every Utd fan on every channel has the same look of complete despair. Why all the doom and gloom? If its any consolation I don’t see Utd going down, but just being in the conversation is bad enough. Lfc fan.
gotta pin some of this on amorim's setup - he has already seen casemiro and eriksen together in the pivot. should have started yoro to counter gordon's pace. would have swapped sides with dalot and antony. there's more...
Stop talking about transfers in January. Romano and Amorim have said it's not happening! Start questioning Ineos and why they bring in a manager with a new system and then don't buy him any payers to fit? Have to start getting real and calling then put Instead of saying fantasy football
Ok, this is the last time I'm commenting on any of those clueless mouthbreather comments. The mistake was not sacking ten hag in the summer. The fans made it impossible for the new ownership to sack him since they wrote the love letters for ETH. What the people like you seem to forget so easy is that united was already in free fall under ETH this season. So keeping him wouldn't make a difference. To why they don't buy players in January: that I have to explain this at this point in time proves how oblivious and thick this Fanbase is. We were run into the ground in terms of finances. Why do you think is sir Jim cost cutting? Because we are facing more than 100mio in transferfees and we run on a definite. Ffp has us on our balls, which prevents us from buying new players. We need every penny to be able to rebuild the squad. And inb4 you come with this stupid Qatar "they would've cleared the debt"-fairytale. Even if I ignore the obvious red flags coming of this terrorist supporting country ownership, which has proven to be clueless with psg already. FFP rules prevent any owner to just pump money into a club. Why do you think city has 130 charges? They tried to game the system by funneling money into the club by being their own sponsors. Why do you think is the richest ownership in the prem (Newcastle) not dumping money into the club? Because they can't. Every fan with a functioning brain cell saw this coming. Open heart surgery cuts deeper then just window dressing the old failing systems like ETH did.
@@k4yser Thank you. The average United fan is so oblivious and resorts to silly rheotoric like thinking signing players will simply change and improve things.
Listen to this for a stat. Man U lowest points finish was 58 points in 21/22 season. That means United have to win 12 games out of the remaining 19 games to equal that. Anything lower is absolutely disastrous!!
its much deeper..dont win duels, compete, care, believe, run, take accountability, enjoy the game dont matter...they have switched to back 4 in game its not rigid ...wishful thinking about it being system i wish it were true. its confidence and players who didn't come to grind through adversity to win thats on recruitment . no confidence in this environment bruno is only one not fazed who runs and tries to create and he looks out of place because everyone else if frozen afraid to make mistakes and that always ironically leads to mistakes . only advantage system change does is placebo effect for confidence but cant do that at top level . hes challenging players who dont compete or like challenges . bruno needs upgrading but hes a co captain of top intl team , maz, ugarte, amad, mainoo, de ligt compete and not to single them out but adversity reveals character and have to at least compete. hopefully time to train removing players not up for challenge and bring youth who are coachable to create hunger and effort. then we can enjoy and see the future payoff we have squad with few solutions . yoro and rasmus run and are coachable i shouldnt even mention names because it will sort itself . keep faith happy new year
As a Red, who always enjoys and values Alice's opinions on footy, would look to formally make a £30 million bid for her to join the Liverpool supporters
@Alice how many games does he need to realise Casemiro and Eriksson cannot work in 'his system'. Amorim is looking out of his depth already, he could work things out simply by looking at the players stats and movement over a few games not ten...
As a newcastle fan, second half you improved a lot. You say we sat back but you had a few amazing chances and I don't think it's a quality or set up issue, it's more confidence. Last season on a man u high those would have gone in but the players are losing back to back, Amorim doesn't seem to like any of them, and they are getting bood off every game, their morale and confidence is probably at rock bottom. I think the other difference is, Howe came into newcastle and we still have most of the team we had under steve bruce, and he implemented his style but he also worked with players, joelinton going to midfield where he improved 1000% than as he did as a striker, hall he got in and didn't play him even as stretched as our team can be until Hall was ready. Amorim comes in says this player isn't good, that player isn't good, lets sell them. So you have to think, what player is going to want to play for a manager whose saying they aren't good enough before giving them a chance or trying to work with them?
Tbh sometimes it gets bad before it gets better. I'd rather have that than the other way round from good to bad. Amorim seems to want a progressive change rather than a quick fix. I can take heart from Newcastle they had a bad season last season, but look at them now. Even this season they had some bad runs. Its about progression, & consistency rather than a win here & there. Too many bad eggs in the squad. I second the move to sell Rashford I just feel if his heart is elsewhere let him go afterall, the heart wants what the heart wants. If Casemiro leaves that'll be a plus his wages are high, & its almost like the club is trapped with his hefty contract & he's past his best. He should go, & cash out. A true legend deserves to be happy. I think Amorim will be embarrassed, & shocked with his start, & the level the players have shown this will empower him to be ruthless!!!
The small goal will be to get a consolation goal at Anfield. Prob around 3-1 as Liverpool won't want to exert themselves in this annual televised light training session.
But Alice, noone sells their entire squad in one go. So when people say that selling Rashford and Bruno is key to rebuilding the squad, they mean that these players are important to move on as they could conceivably bring in funds.
Zirkzee wont put a shift in even if a player is not doing well but shows some effort theu will respect it. The guys hair moves more than his legs. He looks stoned.
Alice hope that is the last game for most of the players they have no shame Amourin is a great man but playing Eriksen and Casimiro was a mistake he should have used academy players from the under 18,s they no how to run and score goals I think Dalot is poor
The problem is with Rashford is that the situation is now so toxic that he HAS to go in January, on loan or not, I'd take a loan with obligation to buy.
Amorim might turn to be another Andre-Villas Boas if he is stubborn to keep insisting on playing 3 at the back. Some will say, that if he changes his ways, he is a goner, I say, he would show actual flexibility and adaptation. For now he proves why Liverpool didn't bother going for him.
@@hanshansen1990 ask ten Hag the same question, why he didn't implement Ajax style in Man Utd. Amorim needs certain players to work in his system and there is no say that said system will work in Premier League. It's not Portuguese league. I thought top tier managers/coaches were flexible. Nagelsmann is like that. He tinkers a lot until it clicks. That's one of the reasons I loved Julian.
No one will buy Rashford. As a Toon fan Gamacho is an interesting option at the right price. However Manchester United are going to struggle with overpriced players. Happy New Year
We should stop overhyping players when their contributions are not leading to any significant gains for the club. They score once in five games or more, they rarely assist goals, goalie is crap, poor strikers, no creativity, obvious
The United Liverpool get on Sunday will be different to that of last 2 games. In fact the last 2 games means United woll ne even more up for it. They'll be like prime Barca, as a Liverpool fan I am a bit worried.
On the club debts, if we are losing £133m per year. It means we are losing £11m per month. If we have gained £45m from cuts. That's £88m to go! £7.3m per month still to cut! Just to break even. Casemiro wages £350k pw= £18.2m per year. Rashford £300k pw= £15.6m py. Eriksen £150k pw= £7.8m py. Lindeloff £120k pw= £6.2m py. Maguire £190k pw= £9.9m py. Shaw £150pw= £7.8m py. Antony £200k pw= £10.4m py. Mount £250k pw= £13m py. By removing all these players, the club gets back £88.9m in wages alone.
I am sorry Alice 23 years is not a young guy or a kid. It is this sentimental attachment to players thath as ruined the game today. He has just 7 more years to possibly hit retirement at 30 years. He has been shite since signing for United. He is not cut-out for the premier league. Simple.
The fees mentioned for players utd want to sell are roughly double what anyone would pay for them. Dallo 40mil Washford 60mil garnacho 60 these are ridiculous figures. If zirkzee can be sold fee wouldn't be enough to clear amortisation fees
We lose with Bruno and without him, when are we gonna realise there is no solution aside from moving all these players on, Bruno didn't help again Bournemouth or wolves what difference would he have made again Newcastle?
@jarl7380 I agree but man utd has been backing players for a long time maybe it's time we start being a bit more ruthless and be like Chelsea. Even if we have to sell some academy players for pure profit
We can't afford their wages once we relegated to championship next season.. Therefore this winter is a good timing to offload those high wages and unqualified players and get ready for next season for the rebuild
Man Utd have wasted their money on nothing and are left with nothing. After everything they have done they are stuck with the same old leaky stadium, players with no future, and possible relegation. Man Utd is treated as a business, but I can't imagine a business have ever been run this badly.
They might be better off at least looking to loan out some of the dead wood in January, if nothing else but to get other clubs partly paying a percentage of those crazy wages
The ManchesterUnited situation is so bad and toxic, that even LFC supporters start to feel pity for them ( not on the next weekend😉) Maybe, you should take over, Alice, because your attitude is something, your club could need. Energetic, loyal, truthful and humble.
I am not a Man U fan and watch Man U game on and off and I thought if there's any player you wanna keep, it Garnacho as he seems to be the most hardworking one even when the team is playing below par. Correct me if I am wrong.
Not a Man u fan, Newcastle fan actually. I agree about the positions you need but to fair we can all say, get our team this player that player, fill this position etc and those teams will go up a level too. Not always that simple, trust me, I've seen Newcastle struggle to field 11 players and still not be allowed to buy/ spend etc
Which to me shows FFP is just wrongly named and doesn’t work. Mind you get a few CL seasons under your belt and bigger sponsorship will certainly help the coffers at St James’
Then its relegation I'm afraid...the coach won't change a system, that means he's a useless coach, look at that Southampton guy. Coach will be back in Portugal by the end of the season. If I was Mainoo I'd ask for a transfer ..now
I'm hearing rumours Alice, apparently the Saudis have filled up the foreign players quota. Can't confirm that, but it makes sense the amount that's being bought. If that's true, your gonna struggle to sell

I actually believe this Man Utd team is worse than my team (LFC) was during the Roy Hodgson "era", when we had players such as Jay Spearing, Christian Poulsen and David NGog. It needs a complete rebuild, just like the roof of your stadium.
The Theatre of Dweebs is falling down my fair Lady.
Ineos totally destroyed Team Sky
Nice is pants too.
Well, they took the team from best in the world to 7th out of 18... United fans would give their right arms to be seventh 🤣🤣
Brailsford totally destroyed pro cycling, he was a worse influence than Lance Armstrong. And now he's at united, good luck with that! 😂
@@davem12dim17 Oh dear.
🤡🤡🤡🤡
Only Casemiro & Rashford bundled out? What about the other players that are not up to the standard?
@@zulzuli3603 You can't afford any till those wages are gone.
That sigh/deep breath at the very start !!! xD xD
Season starts against Southampton 😢
Every Utd fan on every channel has the same look of complete despair. Why all the doom and gloom? If its any consolation I don’t see Utd going down, but just being in the conversation is bad enough. Lfc fan.
Bro even Liverpool with Paul Kochensky, Jonjo Shelvy, and joe cole were not this bad 😂😂
It’s delusional to think you can get 50m for Rashford will be lucky to get someone take for free
The first half against Newcastle might of been the worst iv ever seen United
gotta pin some of this on amorim's setup - he has already seen casemiro and eriksen together in the pivot. should have started yoro to counter gordon's pace. would have swapped sides with dalot and antony. there's more...
You do a good job. Love the energy level.
Listen to this for a stat. Man U lowest points finish was 58 points in 21/22 season. That means United have to win 12 games out of the remaining 19 games to equal that. Anything lower is absolutely disastrous!!
What you're talking about is sticking plasters over a big bleed 😊
Well I would go halfway 7-0
Players aren't comfortable with system... Needs to change to stay up. Quite literally!!!!!
its much deeper..dont win duels, compete, care, believe, run, take accountability, enjoy the game dont matter...they have switched to back 4 in game its not rigid ...wishful thinking about it being system i wish it were true. its confidence and players who didn't come to grind through adversity to win thats on recruitment . no confidence in this environment bruno is only one not fazed who runs and tries to create and he looks out of place because everyone else if frozen afraid to make mistakes and that always ironically leads to mistakes .
only advantage system change does is placebo effect for confidence but cant do that at top level . hes challenging players who dont compete or like challenges . bruno needs upgrading but hes a co captain of top intl team , maz, ugarte, amad, mainoo, de ligt compete and not to single them out but adversity reveals character and have to at least compete. hopefully time to train removing players not up for challenge and bring youth who are coachable to create hunger and effort. then we can enjoy and see the future payoff we have squad with few solutions . yoro and rasmus run and are coachable i shouldnt even mention names because it will sort itself . keep faith happy new year
As a Red, who always enjoys and values Alice's opinions on footy, would look to formally make a £30 million bid for her to join the Liverpool supporters
50 million for Rashford you are dreaming get in the real world please.your constant defending of Rashford is getting tired please stop
Spot on still thinking big
@Alice how many games does he need to realise Casemiro and Eriksson cannot work in 'his system'. Amorim is looking out of his depth already, he could work things out simply by looking at the players stats and movement over a few games not ten...
alice nobody is paying 50 mil for rashford maybe 30 tops
25 mil €
Agreed, no one is buying rashford for 50 mil. Especially if he demands big wages, he's definitely screwed united over
As a newcastle fan, second half you improved a lot.
Garnacho is not good, an overhyped player with a little bit of quality, that's it. 113+ games for United and he doesn't improve much !
Rashford and ganarcho are not worth £20 million each
25 mil €
They are not worth £20 each!
The small goal will be to get a consolation goal at Anfield. Prob around 3-1 as Liverpool won't want to exert themselves in this annual televised light training session.
Sell them all, then promote your academy players
But Alice, noone sells their entire squad in one go. So when people say that selling Rashford and Bruno is key to rebuilding the squad, they mean that these players are important to move on as they could conceivably bring in funds.
Plot twist, it's not Amorim on the touchline, it's Ten Hag in disguise. The real Amorim is on some sort of Portuguese beach soaking up the winter sun.
It is VERY worrying that Amorim got it SO wrong against Newcastle
Zirkzee wont put a shift in even if a player is not doing well but shows some effort theu will respect it. The guys hair moves more than his legs. He looks stoned.
Alice hope that is the last game for most of the players they have no shame Amourin is a great man but playing Eriksen and Casimiro was a mistake he should have used academy players from the under 18,s they no how to run and score goals I think Dalot is poor
Goldbridge said last night that Amorim is effectively under a transfer ban this month.
100 percent agree on the Zirkzee sub. Casemiro, Martinez and Eriksen were all dire. I fully expected Casemiro to get hauled off instead of Zirkzee.
The problem is with Rashford is that the situation is now so toxic that he HAS to go in January, on loan or not, I'd take a loan with obligation to buy.
I so hope that Amorim gives Zirkzee more game time when more manageable games crop up.
I always want the underdog to do well.
Focusing on the summer is stupid because we might be playing in the championship by then
Soccer and soccer clubs are pain in the arse cheers happy new year
Amorim might turn to be another Andre-Villas Boas if he is stubborn to keep insisting on playing 3 at the back.
Some will say, that if he changes his ways, he is a goner, I say, he would show actual flexibility and adaptation.
For now he proves why Liverpool didn't bother going for him.
Why would we keep Amorin if he start playing a different system. Then we should go for someone who is a specialist in that playingstyle
Amorim better change system otherwise it's bye bye
why do united fans think players want to leave their clubs for a relegation battle😂😂😂 no high caliber player is gonna sign
Best chance of getting a result against Liverpool is to play 8-0-2 formation
How can Casemiro miss that shot? I don’t wanna see him again
You have been hurting for far too long my dear. Hop over to the only red that matters. Together we shall prosper. Ynwa!
This is not rocket science. Amorim is the right man for the job; however, some of the ETH buys are just not up to it. I feel sorry for Zirkzee.
You never boo players for having a bad game. You boo players who don't give 100%
No one will buy Rashford. As a Toon fan Gamacho is an interesting option at the right price. However Manchester United are going to struggle with overpriced players. Happy New Year
Give the top salary earners away for free...insane wages hav killed this club...anyway, happy new year 2025 Alice!🎉
Was watching ESPN the other day and they said Antony is on £70k a week and not 200k
We need striker.. How many chances to we miss, how many??
Recruitment has been crap for ten years Liverpool have brought in well example Maguire we buying Liverpool ger van dyk
It's the same pattern as when Ten Hag arrived.
Huijsen, diomande, stiller, nuno mendes, kimmich on a free.
That's in the summer we need reinforcement now
Gonna be hard shifting average players on insane wages
We lose with Bruno and without him, when are we gonna realise there is no solution aside from moving all these players on, Bruno didn't help again Bournemouth or wolves what difference would he have made again Newcastle?
Selling all the players, doesnt mean there will be enough money to get better quality in.
First 3 secs on loop .My slow recovery from 🤧 Although Newcastle cheered me up other day👍🏻
You run a great podcast on all things Manchester United Alice! Wishes to all the community for a Happry New Year in 2025 after midnight!
What player that is better that what is already there even wants to come to united? It’s not a top draw anymore and hasn’t been for a while.
United are gonna be giving players away. Everyone knows you need to sell, no one desperate to buy. Youll give them away or sell cheap
I can't believe I miss Pogba and Martial.
Why is no one not blaming Amorim for not waiting until half time to make the change? Newcastle could have scored more if United had scored one.
Does Alice EVER smile? Football seems to make her miserable.
Grow up 👊
Players crying all the way to the bank
If I was Mainoo I'd ask for a transfer ..now
Dalot is an attacking RIGHT back, not left back.
I'm hearing rumours Alice, apparently the Saudis have filled up the foreign players quota. Can't confirm that, but it makes sense the amount that's being bought. If that's true, your gonna struggle to sell
Still not happy, rashford being back in team and on bench, then didn't come on!? Not fair too.wanted too see him play
