    Excuse me, I'm just all of a sudden going to stop in the middle of the walkway for no reason and then expect everyone behind me to walk around me.

      Jonathan Palmer my husband is a big guy so when they do that to us he just walks right in the middle and stops. One guy yelled at him so he said "you guys just stopped in the middle, so I thought that was what we were supposed to be doing..." thankfully they all looked around and moved, but my husband gets weird looks from all the "stop and stands" he barrels through (it happens way more times than it needs to).

      I despise this especially when it's in an area with heavy traffic like the areas going from one land to another at MK. Then they get offended when you push past them to get by like you were supposed to stand there and wait for them to decide when they were going to keep going.

      Cristen Post my high school band went to Disney during our Spring Break, and I rode the Pirates of the Caribbean with a couple of friends, and the group we were a part of, (which was most of the trumpet section). Once we started the ride, they just yelled the entire time, (there were about 15 of us). There were some people who weren't a part of our group behind us, and I remember turning around and apologizing to them about what was going on.

    Some more to add to that list:
    -the family of not so nice people on electric scooters
    -obnoxious school groups
    -people with a 4 child stroller forcing themselves on a crowded bus or monorail
    - the big group of people standing in the middle of a crowded place for no apparent reason

      katie mccarthy completely agree about the school groups. I went last year during march with my family and we stayed at the Caribbean and not only were there the obnoxious school groups but there were also a bunch of baseball teams staying at our resort for the sports camps. Like we'd go to the food court and couldn't find a place to sit cause they would have two people reserving a huge table that in the end no one would come to sit at and they would dump their shit everywhere. And one night we walked past the main pool to go refill our cups and there was at least a dozen of them all crowded into the small hot tub being obnoxious.

    Making my list are the folks who stand immediately behind you that act like the line will move faster if they continuously bump into you, step on your heels or hover just behind you. They constantly invade your personal space for the entire duration of the line. This is especially annoying if it's a really hot day and you now have somebody behind you radiating their body heat onto you. Chill the F out and go with the flow!

      RIGHT!?!?! I wear my backpack, so if they’re standing on my heels I simply lean back and let them take my weight. One woman’s kid got her hair caught in my zipper and I pulled away (since the line was moving) and the kid screamed. Mom gave me a dirty look (I was in front of her wtf) and I just stepped forward anyway. I guess her kid learned a lesson. I simply pulled the loose strands out of my zipper and smiled.

    As a former cast member, I have STORIES y'all. I worked quick service, so I've had lots of experience with line jumpers. They were the worst and it would be I who got in trouble if guests were being rude. I had one guy basically intimidate me into letting him cut the line. It was ridiculous. Lots of guests really do take advantage of CM's and Disney's generous hospitality and can be so utterly selfish. 90% of guests are lovely people. It's that 10% that ruin it for everyone :/ great video!

    I would add the parents who yell at their little children at midnight because the kids are crying or cranky. It's past their bedtime! They're exhausted! How is yelling at them going to help?

    • @applesaurus5041
      @applesaurus5041 7 лет назад +11

      OML some parents just bring their kids to disney with the intention of screaming at them every five seconds for very small infractions. I remember going as a kid and my mom would do the same exact thing to me. She'd yell at me if I was thirsty, she'd scream if my brother wanted to spend some of his money on a toy. It was pretty miserable. It shaped me and how I take my kids to disney. Kids have needs just like everyone else.

    • @kriscynical
      @kriscynical 6 лет назад +9

      I have seen some of the worst parenting in the world while in WDW. One time in particular a woman slapped her child across the face HARD with an open palm because the child was leaning forward in their stroller because they were excited to see something. I don't care if it was the eighth time that kid had done that, it was NOT OKAY to slap them across the face for it! When I see things like that it really makes me wonder what the hell these people do to their poor kids behind closed doors if they're okay with doing THAT to them in public.

    • @genzi78514

      Some people are kinda stupid...Disneyland was built for them! From my perspective, they are the rulers there. If the parents decided to spend thousands of dollars on this vacation, it's their fault, not the kids fault.

    • @Steven_Merrill
      @Steven_Merrill 6 лет назад +6

      Good point. I think parents should think twice about bringing very young children to the parks. It's hot, and there's going to be a lot of walking and waiting in line. The kids are going to be hungry and thirsty and tired, and too young to appreciate many of the attractions. My advice would be to wait until they're older and better able to cope. Barring that, parents need to understand that a small child's experience at the park is much different than an adult's.

    Line breakers!! We over heard a lady and her husband planning out which lines they were going to break in as we stood in frozen ride. They had sent their 30+ year old son RUN to frozen at rope drop. He was in line almost at the front. They called him on the phone and said "we are coming up there" I turned around and said he can come back here. They thought I was going to let Mom,Dad,wife, brother, sister in law and all the kids walk by us to get to him. NOPE 👎

    How did this not make the list?? Bus line cutters!!! When you are at the resort bus stops and you are sitting/standing waiting. As the bus pulls up the group just arriving goes right to the door!! This happens ALL THE TIME! Please install rope guides!!

    • @nobreyner60
      @nobreyner60 6 лет назад +3

      I saw bus line cutters this morning. This is my first week ever at DW and we were all sitting waiting for the bus just after 8:00AM to get to the park when it opens. Immediately a group knows that the bus lets out from both doors but only loads from the front door then stands where the front door of the bus will stop so they'll get on first. I'm in PO riverside and there's four stops and I'm at the last south stop and the bus will be loaded before it gets to us. As soon as I saw the bus cutter I went back to my room and grabbed the rental key and drove myself to MK. I think I still beat them there.

      True Crimers YES! I absolutely adore CMs and hate it when I see guests being entitled assholes to them for no reason. Every time I see that I always make it a point to be super nice to them after that, especially at times like waiting in line to pay for merch. I'll tell them straight up "Wow that person was an ass! You didn't deserve that, don't let it get you down." and then I'll chat with them while they ring me up to hopefully erase the bad experience from a few moments prior.
      It's the damndest thing, but CMs will bend over backwards for you if you're simply nice and patient toward them and treat them like what they are: a normal person who is on the clock at their job and has a life outside of Disney. I enjoy talking to CMs, too, (if they're not busy of course) because they're some of the nicest people in the world. And when they tell me to have a nice day, I always say "You, too, once you can clock out!" and it never fails to make them sincerely smile, laugh, and say "Thank you!!" just because I acknowledged that they have a life of their own.

    Can we add "parents who don't control their children, especially in long attraction lines"? I get it, kids get excited but they should not be bumping into or touching someone they don't know just because they're bouncing off the walls. It's not hard to bring an iPad that kids can play while you wait or just get FastPasses.

    • @little_seven_
      @little_seven_ 7 лет назад +7

      ShelfyAndCo I bring my autistic son through the line to teach him to wait. He's probably touched or annoyed a few people in the process. I apologize for any problems I see but sometimes a child's exterior appearance does not necessarily represent the disabilities they have. My son isn't misbehaving, he has autism.

    • @ShelfyAndCo
      @ShelfyAndCo 7 лет назад +15

      See that is completely okay. In those situations we need to all be a bit more patient and understanding. This just stems from one experience I had were the parents of three children behind my mother and I in line were egging the kids on to keep touching and bumping into us, because my mother asked them to stop.

      I had an autistic kid try to yank my prosthetic limb off, which hurts quite a hole lot. Parent's put it to his condition, which is sad, but you still have to control your damned kids. I had to leave the park because he broke a portion of the leg and I couldn't properly walk without a jolt of pain.

    • @personperson2023

      AppleSaurus yeah the parents were most likely lying. I'm autistic (stage one which is high functioning,) but I can still control myself. It only makes it harder for me to express emotions verbally. Unless the kid was clearly a higher stage, it was clearly just the kid being a massive prick.

  • @kristenx0
    @kristenx0 7 лет назад +20

    The people with the strollers do it intentionally. It’s not an accident. As for the line cutters, I had one family who used their child as the pawn. It was in the line for Winnie the Pooh, so it was pretty easy for them because the kid was playing with all of the gadgets and everything. But when the kid was wandering around playing, he just went up further in the line and then the family was just like “oh hey, I guess we’re up here now” and just cut in the line where the kid ended up. Like… that’s not how a line works AT ALL.

    Since many parents now to do nothing to control their child, it absolutely can affect your experience of watching a parade when a hyperactive or apparently demonically possessed child is in front of you and won't stand still. If I have invested an hour of my day standing in place on the parade route before the parade, which I do, I'm not the one the parents should try to impose on. There are plenty of places along the route where there are throngs of kids already at the front, and the parents can add theirs to that mix.

    It is beyond selfish: these rude guest are self-entitled. However, I believe you omitted one other "bad guest" : the guest that cannot shut up. They talk during "Impressions of France": "Uncle Jack visited Paris," or "I have always wanted to take a balloon ride." A complete dialogue while you are trying to enjoy the music, scenery and narration. Or on the Jungle Cruise, as the skipper is talking, the parent that is verbally discussing everything with their child: "yes, that's an elephant. Ooo, look at the lion. The hippos are wiggling their ears...." Why not enjoy the tide without verbalizing everything??? Finally, in the DL Haunted Mansion, everyone knows the spiel in the stretching portrait room, so they all recite it out loud, then the entire room screams at the end. For some small children, the screaming is scary. And some of us want to hear the ghost host. I really want to enjoy the entire attraction: sight and sound, without constant rude guest input. Just my two cents.

    - GROUPS: Brazilian Tour groups, I believe, are trained to chant and cut in every line they are in. School groups who cannot shut up for two seconds on any ride to the point of being unable to hear the narration. The family of 16 who can't understand why, if grandma is in a wheelchair, they can't all use the accessible entrance at the same time.
    - Anyone who abuses verbally or physically any CM. Just because you're having a crappy day, it is not their fault. "A lack of planning on your part, does not constitute an emergency on mine"
    - Anyone who chooses to block wheelchair accessible ramps, accessible stalls, and elevators when they are perfectly able to use the standard counterparts.
    -People who litter. Seriously. Just because there are CMs to clean doesn't mean the world is your trash dump.

And the parents totally started complaining about me that I was ruining their kids parade time. It made me a little upset and scared. I didn't mind the kids in front of me but the parents wanted my spot also. But a cast member ended up having them move because they couldn't all fit in the taped off area. Ref: Steam Strollers! Two years ago I was in Adventureland, with my crutches, keeping out of everyone's way, when this lady came barreling at me and the stroller took out my left crutch, I lost balance of course and then my right crutch was kicked and I headed to the ground with a crunch and my arm knocked the stroller! This "lady" came over top of me and started screaming "Molester! Child Abuser! Get your hands off my kid!" Fortunately a couple of cast members saw what happened, I was stunned on the ground and didn't know where my crutches were, and the cast members were trying to help me up, and one person there started screaming at the "lady" "He didn't do anything, he wasn't even moving you B%&#@, you knocked him over!" She started and then ran off! I was shaken for about 15 minutes and sat down till I had gathered myself (great kudos for the cast members for helping me, BTW). Nowadays, I am in wheelchair, and I will not go when crowds are expected because I don't want to be a bother.

    There's no way I could agree more with all of these choices. I have to take my motorized scooter into the parks. I'm very, very mindful to watch out for others. But it's like you become invisible when you're on a scooter. They dart right out in front of you. Yes, there are a FEW who don't know how to drive the scooter properly. But the majority are very courteous and watch out for others. Some others I'd mention: People who treat their kids, other family members, and cast members like crap, yelling at them........And the people who refuse to get up at the theaters, I step on their toes too, Pete ; ) I really do! Great episode, guys!

    The people that annoyed me most on my last trip to Disney (and well, frankly, in the "real world" as well) are the folks that can't spend a few minutes without playing with their phone.
    Two best examples:
    1) There was a man in the Fantasmic amphitheater directly in front of us that was watching RUclips videos with earbuds in during the show. First and foremost, that light and motion of video right in front you is distracting when you're trying to watch something in a dark environment, but I just kept thinking, "you paid good money for all of this magic, and you can't even enjoy what's going on around you. Also saw a man and woman together that were playing Candy Crush on their phones during the Broadway show during Epcot's International Arts Festival.
    2) Standing in line for Test Track, there was a group of about 6 teenagers in front of us that were all playing on their phones and very unaware of the world around them. To the point where every time the line began to move, everyone behind them had to repeatedly tell them that they could start moving before they would. I finally after about a half hour of this "game", I finally said to the kids, "hey, I don't know if you know it or not, but they have a new feature to the IPhone. If you look just an inch about of the screen, you can see Disney World."

    0:50 I don't understand why I see people taking flash pictures of MSEP (or back in the day - SpectroMagic), I also see this with fireworks. Why do people do it?
    Think about it, you're basically taking a flash picture of a light bulb.... *Mic drop* So, of course, your pictures turn out horrible!

    I stayed in line while my five year old son decided to have an epic meltdown with the screaming/sobbing/tears/his legs going boneless. It was a debate on keeping him in line to the annoyance of everyone standing close to him...or removing him to a quieter place until he could get control of his emotions. His dad took him out of line but stayed within eyesight in a quieter place until my boy regained composure. So...once he calmed down...we were able to continue on for the 45 minute wait at that point. Kudos to the people around us who were understanding and let him and my husband return to line and didn't make a stressful/awkward/painful/frustrating moment worse. I am most grateful. I hope I am not that type of bad guest.

    I love to make line cutters mad as a 6ft3 320lb man I love to play defensive line against them especially when my two slightly smaller brothers are there with me. We regularly get cheers for blocking and ignoring line cutters.

    Can I just say, infants. Like literal babies! Why would you bring an infant child to Disneyland? I mean it's a family park but still, what are they going to remember? Wouldn't it be better if maybe you wait till they grow up a little and realize what Disneyland is? And it's more work, like crying, changing, strollers, who's going to go on rides? It's just annoying and useless. When your kids become older and start begging you to go to Disneyland, what's better?
    "Sorry we can't go, it's too much money, but I did take you once when you were a baby!"
    Or
    "Hey I planned a trip to Disneyland in a few weeks because I saved up enough!!! Over the last few years!!"

      Johnmcculley1 Some kids have disabilities (such as autism) which are not externally noticeable and require a stroller to keep moving . If someone is using a stroller for a bigger kid most likely there's a good reason,because it's not that much fun to push around a heavy human.

      Jaime Moellman 3 years ago we did a family trip with an 11 and 2-6 year olds, one of whom is autistic. By the 4th day they were both exhausted. You could see it in their demeanor. I rented a double stroller for them at Animal Kingdom and it was the best idea I had all week. They enjoyed that day so much more.

      Who cares how old the kid is. If they're paying for it, there could be a giant teddy bear riding in it for all I care. My family rents a stroller when we go to hold a cooler filled with drinks and snacks, what we save in bottled water alone pays for the stroller.

    All 5 are great ones! The Brazilian groups for me are terrible. Not that they are bad people or anything it is just they have no concept of "waiting in a line" my last trip I was cut in front by multiple Brazilian groups. Then when you try to explain what a line is none of them speak English.

    • @applesaurus5041
      @applesaurus5041 7 лет назад

      To be fair though as someone whose been to brazil, that's pretty much their culture. If you don't push in line at brazil you're never served.

      t206kid, sometimes, they lie when they act like they can't speak English. They'll cut in front of you in line and say "I go here." and then they act like you're not even there.

      They do. I am half Brazilian myself. If they can afford a trip to go to Disney parks, probably they can earn English classes. Just walk and put in front of them. It's impossible that a group of ten, no one speaks English.

    My mom uses a motorized scooter to get around loner distances, and when she went to Disneyland back in 2015, she encountered a lot of people who would run out in front of her, or would cut her of and glare at her like it was her fault. Most of these people were dads with strollers! It's always saddening when people don't understand that people with physical disabilities are just trying to enjoy their experience as well, and they'd happily give up their disability to have a "normal" experience.

    I hate the strollers... like if there was a baby in it then thats fine...
    but when its for an older child who doesn't need one.. then its stupid.
    so many of those strollers are empty or used just for storage. and that is just annoying.

    • @little_seven_
      @little_seven_ 7 лет назад +8

      Yukosan13 Some older children have disabilities ,such as autism, and require a stroller for their parent to get them to go place to place. A child's exterior appearance does not necessarily represent their disabilities .

      Yukosan13 I went to Disney for the first time when I was 4. I walked the entire time. My cousins went when they were 2 and 3 and walked the entire time. Strollers aren't needed unless it's a really young baby (who doesn't even need to be at Disney, they won't remember it) or a kid who physically can't walk.
