- Back then, the train skipped Coimbatore, Salem, Katpadi and Thrissur. The only commercial halts were Kollam, Alapuzha and Salem with the technical halts being Palghat Jn, Erode and Jollarpettai.

This was one of the best train journeys I have had in South India in terms of constant high speed run with very meagre halts.
Date : 26/27 March 2016
The train has been heavily slowed down due to commercial halts at multiple places.
Train number 22207 (on Tuesday and Friday) leaves MGR Chennai Central at 04:25 PM and reaches Thiruvananthapuram Central at 07:15 AM on the next day (Wednesday and Saturday respectively) covering the journey in 14 hours 50 minutes.
Train number 22208 (on Wednesday and Sunday) leaves Thiruvananthapuram at 07:15 PM and reaches MGR Chennai Central at 10:15 AM on the next day (Thursday and Monday respectively) covering the whole journey in 15 hours.
Now the train has commercial halts at Kollam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palghat, Coimbatore, Erode, Salem and Katpadi.

I have traveled many times in this train usually on Wednesdays. It almost runs empty. Once I was just one of the two who traveled in a coach, but Volvo buses on the same route with same prices run almost full. Railways should advertise these special trains.
Recently I have shifted to air travel since they cost around 2000 only from Chennai to tvm and travel in just 1 hour, while the 2ac ticket itself costs around 1600.
Not to mention 1ac tickets.
I realize it is pretty off topic but do anyone know of a good place to watch newly released tv shows online?
