Looks fun/interesting, think it should have adaptor for tv play. Some of these things are just too small.

I don't see why any kid would want this. The only kids that might enjoy this are kids with parents who expose them to retro gaming. Why does a 10 year old want to play games from the late 70s and early 80s?
Even playing on my GP2X, I need glasses to play on it. Like most Atari 2600 fans, I'm well into middle age and on the downward slope of middle aged.
About 1/3 to 1/2 of 2600 games mechanics are pretty obvious and easy to pick up and play by someone with no prior experience. But a lot, probably the majority are not. You need instructions for these games. This has always been a complaint I've had about PNP systems and portable retro systems. Even on-screen instructions would be nice.
Frankly, like nearly everything out of "Atari" in the last 15 years, this is just yet another cash grab.

You might be surprised but depending on the age of the kids, they will play anything, I know because I was once one :) It may be a cash grab by Atari, but I think overall the Atari 50 Campaign has been a solid one and was a great idea, if nothing else to capitalize on the nostalgia. It is true though nowadays there are so many other options.

"Old school" games are fun to play. In those days a game did NOT need 4k resolution to be fun to play. Hard to beat getting "75 games" for LESS than the price of even a cheap PS5, Xbox, etc. games these days.

@@ackman3981 Hey, you're singing to the choir here. I was a tween when first exposed to Atari 2600 games and I've been a fan for the last 42 years.
Many 2600 games are very fun to play. But kids are finicky. All of their exposure to modern video games means they will see it, at least initially as a joke.
