Greetings from Scotland! An absolutely beautiful dual language song! And yes, difficult to quantify what this song conjours up in your head. Those lyrics are very deep, so, watch it again and read the lyrics through the eyes of a very young girl who had an alcoholic biological mother. A mother who regularly abused you every day of your life, physically and mentally. A mother who eventually dragged you down a street with a broken collarbone in winter at 3yo and abandoned you saying "Survive if you can!" before walking away......... How must have felt at 3yo? Appalling thing to do to such a young child!
THAT is what I get from this - extreme sadness, pain, bewilderment and deep distrust. What do you think?
Sadly, Diana only sang this a few times. Probably it was just too difficult to remember this period of her life? Not surprisingly.
