Video shows how to repair microswitch in hatch lock. If you have no light in the trunk, it's very possible that the microswitch is broken.

Great job, thank you very much! I've done it on my golf thanks to your idea. I have one improvement. It is not necessery to remove microswitch out. I've done all job in place. It is a little bit tricky to put spring back, but with use of tinny wire to shorten it is much easier.
my case is the faulty harnesss. Any movie on how to check/fix harness for the trunk light?

o przyda się bo u mnie fiksuje ten przełącznik. To przy okazji może masz pomysł dlaczego zamiast 12v w zapalniczce mam 5v i tyle samo na zasilaniu regulacji lusterek we wtyczce przy joysticku . Szyby, światło, central działają normalnie. Bezpieczniki całe.
Maybe contact spray could help..
Great job, but why the main trunk light is turn off, i have the same problem but when i opet trunk door on the right side small light dont work, i see the same problem here.

Ok, i understand but is she work? Couse i dont want install led aroud trunk but i only need to fix this small on the right side. There is no power in light. Is that becouse microswitch in hatch?

+adil delic yes, this old bulb works after fixing microswitch. Before that it didn't work. I replaced this little bulb with leds because for me there was not enough light. Led stripes are connected to this old bulb.
I give 95% that you also have microswitch problem.

Damn...my microswitch misses those 3 metal pins from the slide...it seem that somebody already checked that part, and removed them for some reason...now what shall I do? :D
