Have you ever been to a rally before? This spot in safe. There is a trench between the road and the spectators also there are trees and free space where you can jump or run if shit hits the fan and finally this is a slow corner. So you cannot compare this with friday's crash scene when the guy literaly had no chance in case trouble comes.
my friend, seems to me that you haven't been to many events yourself. FIA ones, at least. If this was Portugal Rally the stage would be cancelled. PERIOD. If you check carefully (1:50), there's a forbidden sign (NO PUBLIC) right before people are standing (ironically, turned to the inside of the corner, where cars and not spectators are supposed to be). Absolutely ridiculous is what this is.
It's enough to check my channel, and you'll see that I've been to rallies before. And you can even see the "No public" sign. Oh well, survival of the fittest and that stuff.

Maybe this is a slow corner, but the road is covered with ice..... And what when a car comes around the corner with a braking problem?? And if that Fiat didn't hit the tree it would have gone into the spectators. I think that rally fans will never see the dangers That is the main reason why I never visit a rally! I will stick to track racing! Since I work as a marshal with track racing on closed circuits, I am sure that I will make myself angry if I see public standing on places they shouldn't stand
This is a stupid rally, only good for sadistic fans who enjoy crash after crash, icy road stages should be cancelled for the good of the rally and pilots safety.

Yes we have and look at 1:56 carefully, the spectator was right where the car went. A lot of rally fans are stupid as fuck.

Really clever to be just behind the "no public" sign on the outside of a very slippery corner where many drivers crash.
So far i have seen like 2-3 videos from the same corner and only Ogier has taken it perfectly.
