Actually,on 1st September Yeonjun's first solo OST called "Boyfriend" was released, if u haven’t heard this song I would recommend u to listen to this OST,it was soothing >3
Also if u haven’t hear anything solo from YJ then he has covered songs like " Guilty" by Taemin, "3D" By Jungkook, and back in the days "Song Cry" by August Alsina..He had showed us he can litreally pull of every kind of performance and "Ggum" is so Unique and Powerful ❤❤
MOAs have been saying GGUM could be interchangeable with KKUM which means dream; since its his first mixtape, that makes sense (he's done covers before and he has an OST, but this is his first concept mixtape with a full promotion). ItsAndyandJas help international fans with their interpretation of the lyrics (so grateful!). The lyrics/MV have double entredres, a reference to his birthday, a shout out to a Marvel comics character, fashion accessories from (probably) Dior, call outs to haters (blurred), a reference to how your mom/dad chewed their gum and how that ties back to Gen Z and YeonJun's kick a** stage presence. It's a clever song with a catchy hook in a stunning MV, #1 on iTunes. Congratulations, YeonJun!
im glad they released the freaky piano part on tiktok ahead of the song bc that gave it time to grow on me and so i loved the full song on first listen! i think if i was thrown in cold i might not have enjoyed it just as much or it wouldve taken more time but my god the song is so addictive and catchy and so fucking fun. i love the way yeonjun expressed himself and his artistic visions and didnt just choose do something super mainstream sounding or easy listening

It's basically a disstrack he's saying he doesn't give a fck about haters.... he's like a chewing ggum for them that will get stuck on them.. then he said he's always sweet so it's like even tho in normal gum.. sweet doesn't last for a long time.. he'll always be sweet so u can't get rid off his taste once u get it! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
It's not actually a diss track like many thought though. He's said in multiple interviews it's about his self confidence and passion on stage by equating it to chewing gum.
