The Raven purposely brought Bran back to that time to make Willys Hodor, so that we have a present Hodor to hold that door while they're escaping. It's like destiny and shit. Everything is in place before it even happens. Plus, it already happened, that's why our Hodor is already Hodor.
It was predetermined and I get that, but if Bran is The Raven helping himself and is also the Bran from legend who helped build the wall in the first place, then Bran really did fuck himself up because he predetermined it by helping himself. Then again, he was just compensating for man killing the Children of the Forest the whole time so what's the sacrifice of one giant for the world eh?

That overload of information and emotion gave Wylis an aneurism or something and his speech got locked into the most important words of his life, slurred because of the brain damage incurred from such a mentally traumatic event. Bran was just the unwitting conduit for the connection. In terms of the overall story, perhaps it does mean that Wylis was destined to be Hodor so that he could be there to hold the door. Or perhaps it's just a strange, happy (and yet, very sad) accident that might sometimes happen if time travel were possible.
The birth and death of Hodor in the same scene... Total strangers were comforting each other over being triggered by a commonplace phrase. I'll never forget that.
Oh god, whenever I see Hodor hold the door, I just start sobbing violently. The only scene that I can rewatch and still have such a visceral reaction every time. I don’t know why.. it’s just, he’s so innocent. And he’s trying so hard to hold the door to save Bran and Meera. It just stabs me in the heart. Love you Hodor ♥️

Great to have Navi back. I loved Pat looking at his cell phone, as he and Navi entered the room. Poor Micky. He looks depressed with his mustache! YEA, Bho is back. Suraj's Indian accent was great!
Hahahaha god I love the skits so much. I also like how Micky just straight up is sitting there not looking at the camera or anything with his mustache completely shaved. Also, amazing damn episode. George Martin is playing the long con game!!
all i was thinking during the episode is " i have to see the normies react to this, i have to see'em react to that..." omg i love you guys, and don't forget to hold the door :'(
No the whole point of the three eyed Raven showing bran that is to teach him that "the past is already written, the ink is dry" aka no he cannot change the past. He can learn from it but that is it.
+Ser Twenty Of House Goodmen (mrbeeboy). They are basically saying that Bran has caused a lot of things in the past. A theory is that his voice were the whispers that The Mad King heard that drove him insane.
Alvin Aliaj I hope that's not the case, because the one thing GoT has going for it above all shows is its unpredictable nature and the whole whispers thing is something people have been theorizing about for a couple of years
+jazon345 Time travel is an element in some of GRRM's other stories, but I doubt Bran is going to "fix" the past and create an new timeline where everything is fine. It is more probable that Bran's interactions with the past inevitably lead to the events of the present, as with Hodor, because "the ink is dry".
Alvin Aliaj Ok let me rephrase what I'm trying to say. Yes he will change the past. But he cannot change the present and the future by changing that past is what I mean. So its not like he can just go back and warn people about the mad king and then hurray he saved everything from happening. So yes he may of been the one to cause Aerys to go mad but it had already happened anyway. It's confusing and really hard to put into words so sorry for hurting your brain.
I love how at the end the girl with the yellow dress was speechless. you can tell there's so much going on in her head but not able to say anything cause she's living it!
Hahaha! Thank you! We are so horrible at staying consistent with them--now I just have to identify when we ventured into all those other ones by accident!
+The Normies Hey i am big Fan of your group reaction videos. :) Where u are from and what are your native background if am allowed to ask? Greetings from germany :))
I kind of adore the girl on the left. Not only she is beautiful, or came up with Hodor quote first, but she seems to enjoy the scene with that sad smile and no silly words...
Just coming across your videos for the first time looking for others folks' reaction to last nights episode. It was fun "reliving" it with your reactions. Good stuff.
He was dead inside that moment on from his childhood. He experienced his death mentally and was stuck on "Hodor" up until the moment his physical self caught up.
You guys reached/came to horrible conclusions at the end. HODOR clearly ALWAYS knew he was destined to Hold the Door... that is why he always kept saying it. - In this same episode Brann goes up to him and says: "Hodor, i saw you when you were younger, you use to speak. What happened?" - Hodor responded: "hodor" and started crying He knew he was destined to do this. Love the videos thou... thumbs up all the way
+Andy Junior I do not think he knew any of all that... Same way as Ned heard Bran, Willys heard Meera shouting "Hold the Door" and because he was in that warging state or whatever, it fucked his mind deeply, to the point of.. well, "Hodor" was all he knew. The reason I think he felt uncomfortable when Bran spoke about it is the experience itself. We all know Hodor gets kinda sick when Bran wargs into him and that's because it calls back to his trauma.
+Verm1ll1on That's what people are saying. Bran warged him while he was in a green-dream and that's what fucked up Hodor's mind. And because of the seizure Meera's words (shortened to Hodor because of his broken mind) are the only ones he can say.
Hodor didn't "see the future" or "know his destiny", Bran took his destiny away from him, mind flayed him and basically enslaved him. Holding the door isn't a choice, he was warged into, you lose free will when you are warged into. That's the whole point of warging them.

Woman in the yellow dress looked devastated and so trying not to cry-- hope someone gave her a hug!
Rana's face explains it all 💔
This is arguably the most jam packed season yet. What the hell is Pat smoking?! He's definitely one of those people that always likes to go against what everyone else thinks, even if it makes zero sense.
Pat, staring at his cell phone, during that skit, was a nice touch
Seriously you guys are the absolute best Game of Thrones related channel, love the effort that goes into those skits
Anyone else cried like a baby when summer and hodor died?👀
NO!!
yes
only pussies did cry
I'm doing every reaction videos. And even a year later, I'm bawling my eyes out. One of the most powerful, emotional, sad, heroic moment on television ever.
this is the fastest you have uploaded a reaction vid, Suraj! Keep them coming like this!
It's a masterful scene and the Stark theme playing for Hodor is so fitting. He might not have been born a Stark but he sure died as one!
Summer is dead, the wall will Fall, Winter is coming, and you gotta Spring for your life
It's ironic how Arya played her self in the play in bravos.
Oh yea, I forgot about the dick shot. I love that reaction lol That ending though, uuhhhggg. Summer is gone, Winter is Coming.
+Liam O'Quin sudden dick shot is sudden sounds like it could be a cinemasin I heard a little ding as soon as I read it
seen a lot of movies with sudden dick shots eh? lol
Someone plz hug Rana. Navi comfort her. Pay back her gratitude from jon snow death reaction.
5:37 everyone is repulsed whilst Nahid licks his lip...
+Taminator38 ;-)
@@Nahid82243 LOL
A true heartbreaker of an episode. Some say he's still holding the door.
holy shit xD this is the best skit yet
+IceIsWater Holy skit! lol
Hear, hear! 😃
"We were on MTV! For Half a Second!" "F*k MTV!" 😂
That girl sitting at the front is so fucking sharp she got the Hodor thing quicker than anyone I've seen, your awesome 👊
rana was so upset and mickey was so shocked!!!! Great reaction everyone!!
I have to say, you guys nail those accents. The fact that you all can write and shoot these in a week and they actually come out really funny is awesome. And great editing too, you get the music timing perfect and everything.
that poor girl in the yellow, everyone else is figuring out what happened and it looks like she just lost her whole fuckin family or some shit
at 14:12, when the blonde girl clocked what was gonna happen to Hodor, my heart actually wept watching her reaction!!! so deep .... HOLD THE DOOR!!!
OMG Rana reaction at the end of episode is sooooo cute HUAHUAHUAHUA so sad
i like how navi understood it right away like it took me a while to understand it and also i was buried in my own tears so props for navi :D and awesome reaction video btw keep going
Rana is so sad about Hodor´s death... I feel her :(
Best reaction channel! Big props to you, guys! After every episode I check your channel and your marvelous reactions
Rana was so funny. She was like "no, no, no, NO, no, no, no," lol so funny
I had only just gotten into watching you guys' videos recently, but already I am excited whenever a new one comes out. Your reactions are just so fun to watch, and not to mentions the skits in the beginning are very amusing as well. Glad I'm subscribed.
A true Game of Thrones freakout face @ 12:08. I think I'm gonna watch these reactions for the next few months. I need more people to share my grief with :(
I'm rewatching this in June of 2022 post-pandemic I can't believe that this was filmed back in 2016 it's insane how fast time flies.
George Martin is playing the long con game!!
all i was thinking during the episode is " i have to see the normies react to this, i have to see'em react to that..." omg i love you guys, and don't forget to hold the door :'(
been here before 5k and am so happy to see you guys grow congrats on 20K
I am by no means a crier. At all. But I cry evey time I watch this episode. Even just a reaction, I have tears streaming down my face. Poor hodor.
Same here
Hodor was the great sacrifice from all the series
You all do a magnificent job with the way the live reactions are done. Keep it up!
I'm loving Rana. Her reactions are usually my reactions 🤣
the one on the right I thought he was a picture he didn't even flinch
Why does Rana always look fly af
Finally you've decided to upload this episode I've been patiently waiting for it
This character was repeating one word only and yet, it had all this impact on people ;(
This tells how great this show is
Loved the intro! You guys are awesome, I come here every Monday to see your reactions.
Dude if Game of Thrones becomes a time travel series I'm gonna be salty
My Dude on far right with the Hamilton shirt is a straight up gangsta with his poker face
The director of this episode is Jack Bender, who did a fuckton of LOST episodes. Whatever happened, happened.
You guys all great but, Rana is the reason why i'm here. :)
First time I've seen you guys. Amazing!!! Fantastic.
same
I was literally Rana at the end of this episode I just sat there silent looking really depressed
Rana is literally the cutest girl ever. she's such a princess. :D
I could watch Rana watching stuff all day
And I'm back again, am i the only one that keeps going back to reactions to rewatch? lol
The yellow girl really lives it...but the guy at the corner makes not a single face movement. LOL
Rana's reaction was priceless
Your best reactions so far. And a great skit. I hope you keep doing them.
The ending blow my mind and broke my heart ;-;
what a fun video! Never seen you folks, was great!
Love the banter, love the group chemistry
Will be watching more of these for sure
All I wanted was to hug Rana when she was crying :(
the most sad and heroic moment in Game of Trones, great reaction guys!
the bearded guy sitting in the side is still the only guy i would like to see the show with
I love how at the end the girl with the yellow dress was speechless. you can tell there's so much going on in her head but not able to say anything cause she's living it!
Damn, your english accents were pretty good lol
they are Americans
+davincci tatchim Yes, that's why he complimented them on their english accents.
Hahaha! Thank you! We are so horrible at staying consistent with them--now I just have to identify when we ventured into all those other ones by accident!
Andreven if they're Americans why their accent should be different? I could understand if they were foreigners. It just not makes sense what he said
+The Normies
Hey i am big Fan of your group reaction videos. :)
Where u are from and what are your native background if am allowed to ask?
Greetings from germany :))
I kind of adore the girl on the left. Not only she is beautiful, or came up with Hodor quote first, but she seems to enjoy the scene with that sad smile and no silly words...
I want to watch Thrones with Rana, my fave!!!! this was just crushing :(
Those Iron born are easily swayed: "She is your leader!" YARA YARA YARA **Euron appears** EURON EURON EURON.
Hodor was reliving his death everytime he said ...........Hodor.
Hodor the only guy with a heart who cared for others. We will miss you big man. Literally brought me to tears.
your cold opening was damn hilarious
Just coming across your videos for the first time looking for others folks' reaction to last nights episode. It was fun "reliving" it with your reactions. Good stuff.
I like the reaction of the girl wearing yellow 😂😭
He was dead inside that moment on from his childhood. He experienced his death mentally and was stuck on "Hodor" up until the moment his physical self caught up.
You guys reached/came to horrible conclusions at the end. HODOR clearly ALWAYS knew he was destined to Hold the Door... that is why he always kept saying it.
- In this same episode Brann goes up to him and says: "Hodor, i saw you when you were younger, you use to speak. What happened?"
- Hodor responded: "hodor" and started crying
He knew he was destined to do this.
No, i didnt always know
Hodor didn't "see the future" or "know his destiny", Bran took his destiny away from him, mind flayed him and basically enslaved him. Holding the door isn't a choice, he was warged into, you lose free will when you are warged into. That's the whole point of warging them.
