- I replace the gross sagging Headliner in the FamilyBurnoutWagon with something to liven up the malaise era brown interior. Spoiler alert, many Mexican blankets were harmed during the filming of this.

This is amazing and was the perfect video for the direction I wanna go on my 86 C10! Thank you sir looks absolutely amazing
Glad it helped!
Me too for my 83 c10. Also thinking about a dash cover, and of course, seat covers. Amols in San Antonio has mexican blankets in every color imaginable for $7.95 if you order 6 or more.
Damnit Son that looks great!! Party on the inside and business on the outside!! You have the mullet version of motor vehicles!
I'm not 100% sure how I feel about this comment. . . but I'm leaning towards taking it as a compliment.
I love all of your videos! I have a 83 Malibu wagon that I am ls swapping and you have shown me everything else I want to do with my wagon in great detail. Please keep up the good work and post more videos on the family burnout wagon.
A legendary ride built for Clark Griswold himself! 🙌
i'm about 40% offended because Clark Griswald was a bit of a dope.
That headliner looks great in this car im thinking about doing this in my ranger
Damn this came out fucken good
Great job and unique
Change the game 👍
Way cool idea, lots of work but worth it (like the faux brick in my front room I'm in the middle of). Thanks for sharing!!
when I’m driving around I don’t normally look at the headliner. So, sometimes I forget I even did it. When I look up and remember, it still makes me smile. A lot of work but 100% worth it.
That came out so nice! I was afraid the adhesive would leak thru the blanket but that looks good.
I was too. It's been in there for years now and the only issue is a small section coming off at the edge. My suggestion, glue extra around the edges.
I have the same idea of doing this to my 66' bug, door panels and seats as well. Thanks for the video.
that is outrageous and cool - i like it
Man this is so cool 😍
Looks beautiful!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Bro this is great!! Had this idea awhile ago but didn’t know how it would work? Now I know!
Hi, I have a1980 cutlass cruiser Wagon. The left driver's door is of 1984 Cutlass four-door sedan. The A-pillar is the same angle or the door would not fit. So the A-pillar inter trim is the same. The windshield is also out of a four-door sedan.
Really cool
Firme!
*Gorgeous!
Thank you!
I do like the headliner. My wagon is missing all of the headliner even the hard foam backer.
I thought about using the sedan front PVC headliner board, reinforced with a bit of fiberglass. Cut it wherever it made sense and then continue on with fiberglass to the back. Thats if I couldn't find one in the junk yard.
Where did you get the blanket from
A random online supplier. I looked for something that was thin but had good reviews with regard to durability.
Did you use the real , heavy Mexican blankets? Wanna do this to my truck to match my seat cover
No. The one I used was light and tightly woven. I didn’t want it to fall or have the adhesive go through. I would call it a medium weight.
How is this holding up? Did the glue hold it in place? Was the blanket heavier than regular headliner material. I want to do the same project but I’m concerned about the adhesive’s ability to hold over time. Thanks
It's held up great. I don't garage keep or baby this car, and in the last 2 years of living outdoors in the brutal Las Vegas heat, it's done amazing. The blanket was a little heavier than headliner. I made sure I bought a thin saddle blanket. I think a really heavy one might put some extra stress on the backing board and need quite a bit more adhesive. There are a couple spots in the very back that I can tell are coming loose. They are about 4in in diameter where I was running out of adhesive. So my advise is, if you're doing a wagon, get another can of adhesive and don't try to skimp at the end. Other than that, I have no complaints or criticisms.

Much appreciated, I’ll be doing mine soon. It’s an extended cab pick up, so I ordered two cans. I don’t think the blanket is extra heavy, but for sure heavier than regular headliner material. I’ll cross my fingers I guess. Again, thanks for your time and info.
Hey bro what material did u use to fix the headliner bord? I'm trying to fix mine to put my in my suburban.
Danny Gonzalez I picked up a fiberglass kit from the local home improvement store. I’ve never done fiberglass before, but following the directions, a little RUclips university, and trying a small test piece before I did mine and it came out perfect.
Thank bro I really appreciate it gonna try it out and see how it comes along
hell yeah
