    Thanks for your video, I just had the satisfaction to bring this device back to life! I had a lot of difficulties in soldering these terminals to the new battery, which lead me to learn about soldering techniques, all in all, it has been a rewarding learning journey. Thanks again!

      Good to know you're reusing it. Better than buying it again, or perhaps not. Hehe

    Thank you for making this video. I would likely have never found those screws and would have tossed it. Cleaned the contacts and bent a bit more proud. Now it works great again!

    Wonderful video - I really like the way you carefully show all the pitfalls when assembling the piece again. And I also did not know about the hidden screw.. :)

    yustech, great vid. Thanks for taking the effort to come out with this teardown guide. Obviously this model has a lousy battery lifespan. Me too faced the same problem. Your teardown guide does helps and looks like it's a 18650 battery size. I probably gonna get one better battery from any online vape shop since vape mod uses 18650 battery as well.

      Thank you for watching and furthermore about the battery data. I didn't know it being use in Vape.
      Much appreciate that from your end. :)

      Yup, that's what I did. I put in a Samsung 25R battery. More than doubled the capacity. :)

    To replace battery, is needed a protected 18650 Li-ion battery or a normal 18650 (like the one used for vaping)?

      Thanks for the tip.its 2018 and I still dragging my leg to replace it.

      Mirko, the charger you have for the drill will likely tell you what kind of battery it charges. Li-ion charge and discharge differently from nimh or ni-cd. This goes for any battery in any electronic device. Check the charger or simply remove old battery and use that as reference to what you need to buy. Never mix chargers/battery types. Not all batteries are rechargeable. And shorting the terminals can cause explosive, face melting states of matter in all its forms. Remember these things and you can't go wrong.

    • @yusdiy
      @yusdiy  3 года назад +1

      Higher mAh is better for longer usage 👍

    YT. You called it a teardown, but you only opened the casing and showed the parts. Now, I have mine teared down. How in the world 🤦🏻‍♂️, do you get the front piece back in it's groove? LoL though

    Can we the normal rechargable AA size battery. It looks like the same size..

    • @yusdiy
      @yusdiy  6 лет назад +1

      I don't believe we could as the normal AA size would only gives out 1.5VDC and low mH. The 18650 Li-Ion is 3.6VDC with mH ability. Thank you for watching Irzan.

    • @stinkycheese804
      @stinkycheese804 4 года назад

      No, it does not look like the same size. AA is 14mm x 500mm. That is an 18650 cell so 18mm x 650mm. There is a capacity difference, a current capability difference, a chemistry (recharge requirements) difference, and of course a voltage difference.
