Nice, I was a crew member during the dry dock of Queen Victoria at the Fincantieri shipyard in Sicily when they expanded the back of the ship to increase staterooms in 2017. Watching this feels so familiar
@@ianleaver4967 No, they run on heavy oil that's even worse. No catalytic converters. No NO2 treatment. Co2 emissions that are literally breath taking.
Wrong about filtration systems, these new ships have very robust filtration systems and with Cunard they are able to connect to shoreline power, thereby allowing them to switch off their engines whilst in port. Wow I reckon you would be a laugh a minute on a cruise not that’s ever likely 😂😂😂
Got to see the queen mary 2 in sydney today 🎉🎉🎉
Wow, oh so she's there (or was 😁). Great! 👍🏻
Queen Mary 2 was constructed at the French shipyard in the famous shipyard St Nazaire, and she is larger than the future Queen Anne, at 149,000 GRT.
Yeah, I thought so too…
You are so right. I should have checked the facts better! 🙈I got confused since Queen Anne has a higher passenger capacity.
QM2 is 149,200 gt
Indeed! Built at “Les Chantiers de l’Atlantique”
What a fantastic overview you shared! Thanks for being in my group!
Oh how kind you are, it was an honor! Thank you, see you on Queen Anne I hope! 😊
Looks like you hosted an excellent tour Chris.
How lucky to be on Chrisses group!@@SeaFunTV
@@cruises_only_thanks I know! 🤩

Wow, cool job! Thanks for watching. :-)
Looking very nice..
I'm super excited to see the finished result! 🤩
I’ve got tickets on the maiden voyage, so excited!!
Fantastic! 💫 And I can understand you're excited. I would be too. 😁
Good work as always. This beauty gonna be on my bucket list. / Snyggt jobbat som vanligt / Adam
Tack Adam! ☺
well done, I will share this.🤗
Thank you Paul, means a lot! :-)
I must point out that the QM2 was not built at the Fincantieri yard. The great ship was, I believe, built in France.
You are so correct! I misunderstood. 😬
Kul att du fick besöka fartyget fast det inte är färdigställt ännu 👍😃
Det var det verkligen! En ära vill jag påstå. 🤩 Också mitt första varvsbesök så extra speciellt.
We’re booked on Anne’s maiden voyage. Hope it’s completed by May !Looks a bit sparse at the mo !! Can’t wait…..
I'm sure she'll be ready and I hope you will have a fantastic cruise! 😊
I'm going in agust
Fantastic, looking forward to hear your feedback. 😃 I'm going in May.
Does the Queen Anne have friend of Dorothy club like the Queen Mary did?
Yes she does, but it will not be called Friends of Dorothy.
All diesels and petrol engines being banned and these monstrosities still get built.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
These new ships don’t run on diesel or petrol 🙄
