Those dogs sure have their tails wagging! This is what they were bred to do! They are so happy and fulfilled. It’s like they are saying, “come on dad, let’s do more! Let’s do this to all the cows in the world!”

This is what this breed was created for ..a lot of the reason people get dogs and put them in a shelter ? They cannot handle their energy ? They crew ? B. C..dogs were made to work ..none gets upset when a cops dog gets works ?? A lot of dogs are used to work..do u see their tails ?? They are having the time of their lives..and the farmer does not have to shock the cows , or fight for hours ..ect .

Those Border Collies Weigh around fifty pounds each. Those bulls are 1000-1200 pounds each! So more like 20 times their size. But sharp teeth and agility have the advantage every time. You get a well trained blue heeler on a stubborn bull and they will latch onto their nose and get flung 30-40 feet and be back in seconds. Don't take the bull long to figure out who the boss is.

These dogs were bred to herd SHEEP. Sure, you can modify it to bulls, because they are fucking smart and want to work and eager to learn and obey, but this is not what they were bred to do. The dogs are small in size because of their breeding to herd sheep. They're delicate and light and fast to counter and outrun sheep because of their breeding. One misstep around a bull and it's all over. These dogs barely need any instruction to herd sheep, but in this case they had to be repeatedly commanded because they're nervous and unsure. Mismatched workers and work.

In Ireland, my dad said the used small dogs for moving cattle to the fairway, not sheepdogs, so I'm suprised by this. The smaller dogs would snap at the heels of the cows and avoid the kicks. They keep the sheepdog at home that day incase she got a bad kick. Dog was (still is) the most important animal on the farm, horses weren't affordable so we had asses( donkeys) instead. Smarter than horses anyways.

Great workers! Doing what comes naturally is beautiful to watch. The dogs usually are much less stress to the cows. Not everyone has the ability to handle them with hand signs & voice commands like I was taught. Never had horses learned to use a truck at 7 while the men walked the herd. At 3 my Dad got me a bulldog, my nanny dog! As long as she was by my side I was free to roam. Got to see her in action, one of PawPaw’s huge Beefmasters got to close and Bone didn’t approve. She challenged him, grabbed that nose and put him on the ground. Held him till I got to the fence. He didn’t hurt her or me and never came near us again. Nanny dogs need to come back, bonding with an animal that your friend and protector. She wasn’t that way with anyone but me, she was so great at keeping the annoying little brother away. 😂

The bulls' body language says otherwise, they seem to be fairly relaxed, obviously annoyed, but no more so than if you saw a mosquito. If they were truly scared they would be going after the dogs much more aggressively per charge and odds are they've done this before.
