Karas is very similar to Green Lantern. Every city has a Karas to keep the balance between monster and human and protect human from evil monster. Personally, Karas is cooler than Green lantern because of the sword and armor. I really would like to see Karas vs Green lantern.
@gpoop23 - i think the Yurine was created by his soul.... seeing as karas n yurine r 2 different characters, n yurines r "born" so.....yurine's probably something completely new....
(10 years later...) if you still wonder what happened. Yurine are born from the soul of the city. But Otoha's Soul is close to the heart of the City, allowing the Birth of a New Yurine from him. Think of Otoha as a proxy.
