Ah, I was wondering why this train looks VERY foreign and weird to me as a german. 3 reasons: 1. its from EAST germany (GDR) - I grew up in the WEST. That may explain the color scheme. 2. its a wild reassembly out of parts from different older locomotives, thats why the design looks scrambled together 3. its a unique thing, there is only this one single exemplar fun fact: Its the fastest operative steam locomotive in the whole world. She is available for special trips
The 18201 was an experimental newly built machine in GDR. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DR_18_201) You are right that in thinking that it was a mixture of other types. The 18201 is also very popular among train enthusiasts in the old West Germany. The model train company ROCO even kind of rented it for some time for advertising and had it painted red. They also issued a model of it in H0 scale.
@@knudvoecking Yeah, I dont have any clue about trains and my original post was based on german/english wiki. two days ago i built my first Lego train MOC: an M-Tron train. also a wild mix. a bit futuristic-fantasy-spacey, a bit old steam locomotive.
Dude, this engine needs a passenger coach set to go with it, and maybe a a diesel like the v100 or v200 with some freight cars, same with all the other trains lets bricks has made.
I think (and hope that) he's been doing the sponsored un official sets so he can do a very large or intricate ship. let me know what you think of my theory
Lego really needs to make more trains like the Emerald Night. The brick system just lets itself to the model railroading medium so beautifully.
Agree
Even the orient express
Trains are the world's second most underrated form of transportation

I love how you can tell from a video on a phone screen that those bricks aren't Lego brand
13:31 the single tile that has lego written on the studs.
Can you do the HMS Endeavour/Dauntless from Pirates of the Caribbean? Please?
the tender is the wrong way around, the light should point backwards
Cool
thanks to put the tender in the right way...
You should build lego HMS Victory
Theres one thing to point out is that the tender is faced the wrong way.
Nice model. But, I don't think it will run on a real Lego track with it's tight corners.
Cool build, but why is it on this channel?
you flipped the tender the wrong way...
Yeah i saw that to the Lights give IT away that it's Backwards
これはどう入手したのか?私は知りたいです
