Can you list how much wood you got and what type?

I used about 8-9 2x4x8s it is 40 inches tall and about 46 inches long. I used these detentions so I could get 2 parts out of each 2x4. This also allowed me to cut a few inches off of each end to get them square.

@@BenVanKirk How many sticks of wood should I buy?

How is this holding up? I gathering supplies to make something similar. I went to buy the Cabot semi solid wood stain and the guy in the paint department said it would peel if my pressure treated wood hasn’t been out in the elements for one year. I don’t do much staining, but I’m not sure how it would peel. I’m building mine for indoor use so I’m just going to use an interior stain and untreated wood.

The stain has held up really good outside. It is semi-sold so the wood grain will show through some. I was going for more of a rustic look and it still looks great.

@@BenVanKirk it looks good. I ended up getting an indoor Valspar stain. Jet Black. I’m still putting it together. It makes it look like the wood has been charred. Not sure what I’m going to put on the top. Probably wood deck boards, but maybe stain it a different color for some contrast.

I’m not much of a RUclipsr, but I made a short of my finished firewood rack based off your design. Check it out. I’m going to put newspaper and gloves and maybe a potted plant on top. Thanks for sharing. I was thinking of something like this, but couldn’t quite figure out how I would make it.
