If you travel South Africa and also travel the world you will realise that SA is an architectural heaven , the quality and attention to details is something missing in so many countries and the fresh air in SA is something to take notice of
I agree , SA architecture is on point👌🏾
YOU are so right!
I work with Indians from India they say South Africa is heaven compare to other African countries
@@craigdavidson1493 compared to India too, I've been there
@@craigdavidson1493 Wow.
South Africa is beautiful. We’ve recently moved to a small town called Komani(Queenstown) in the Eastern Cape- it’s an amazing small town, with a relaxed and country lifestyle with same big houses plus farm lands. Places like this can also be an option for AA that wanna be involved in agriculture and stuff…also being close to the Xhosa culture( Nelson Mandelas people), there’s a rich history and a humble resourceful people here. The community is also very diverse and integrated. Just sharing more options for you.
We also have a home in Johannesburg but a small town living is our best option. We love it out here.
Woow, Komani is my hometown but am quite intrigued that an African American can live there its a small town I just can't believe it! Welcome my sister emaXhoseni( Xhosa people land)
Quality and attention to detail is of very high standard, bravo to South African National Builders Association and all the structures regulators designers and builders for keeping and setting the standard so high👌🏽. South African architecture is of something to be proud no matter the circumstances we sometimes find ourselves in . I have an outdoor shower too😉😊 so used to it even in winter I still prefer using it something freeing about taking a shower outside
In Africa we build our houses with bricks if there is a shooting you don't have to worry the bullets will penetrate through and hit you while you sitting in your living room unlike in the USA and Canada. Here is bricks cement and steel
This is Royalty living! Good bye America hello South Africa.South Africa homes are made to last generations to live and enjoy. My family and I are so excited to return to South Africa in March to see more of what the beautiful country has to offer.Keep up the great works brother Mark & sister Dr.LaTasha Blanton.👑 Zuri 💞
Welcome brother
Welcome back home.
Yes South African houses are build with brick and mortar. Strong and can't be damaged by tornado although we don't have them in S.A. We don't use wood like in America. I bought my house 35 years ago but If you can see it, is like new.
Watching this video my wife said for the first time she'll reconsider moving to Africa
Come home people... Where you belong!
Please came and visit us in South Africa.
@@nattydavidsonnxumalo6007 my goal is to one day live in Africa but I definitely want to visit first. I can't survive without this channel. When we say our brothers n sisters across d planet must come to South Africa to share skills with us cos we really need them, we mean initiative such as this
I am sure SA Tourism will get on board one day but you are right we do need initiatives like this
I agree with you we need skills and investment, unfortunately with all the bad policies, inefficiencies and red tape the government make it really difficult for foreigners to come here and work and invest.
@@nicobr00 TRSA has done a VDO in the past with the right government department that has a one stop-shop to assist with business to set up readily and flexibly, of course while still following the law.
@Hope s with the expropriation bill looming I would certainly think twice before investing in SA. If it passes it affectively means that the government is the custodian of all property (including any business or investment) and they can confiscate it if the need arises (like when they run out of money, which is soon to happen). Why do you think foreign direct investment into the country is at record lows?
@@nicobr00 it’s not only South Africa, it’s going to be globally. For African American it’s more than the investment, it’s then connecting with their continent.
Blue Valley Estate is absolutely breathtakingly beautiful and it would be a dream to have a home there totally awesome South Africa
She is sold out to sunny South Africa you can tell, you can't blame her the lifestyle is out of this world
Good quality homes certainly. And the values are solid too, very competitive to other countries on the Continent. Thanks for sharing RSA. Hey Vanitha!
It's the many amenities and well planned neighbourhoods that sets SA apart from the rest

Greetings The Real South Africa, those are very nice homes and the décor is out of this world, the architects did a grand job in those estates. I also must say that the homes are easily affordable for a percentage of African Americans, Retirees and other Diasporans. I am seriously thanking about relocating there after I sale everything here in Asia. Blanton's showcasing homes is an excellent addition to your South African Tourism Service if you choose to do so. Thank you so much for sharing and keep the wonderful content coming.
South Africa has good quality of life especially in Gauteng. An average civil servant from American can live a life equivalent to a celebrity's in America but the issue always become assimilation to the new culture. White American & Western Europeans are owning lavish estates in SA and are considered average in their country, i think African American or Europeans can make the best of these opportunities.
Very true, unfortunately african in diaspora don't see it
Unlike American houses are made of timber and wood African houses are more beautiful and made of stones . I love africa will relocate soon

The houses are so spacious and beautiful
The houses in South Africa are well designed and grand. Very modern and chic.
Mr Blanton please tour the house along with them, not on your own. We like to see their reactions and hear what the realtor has to say about the space.

Wow the sound of the birds nice nature is everywhere in SA 🇿🇦🤣🤞🙌🙌🙌
Loved house number 2 because its brand new you just move in.
The SCULLERY is just a small kitchen adjacent from the main kitchen, the main purpose is to keep dirty dishes away from view thereby keeping the main kitchen tidy. Some people also put washing and drying machines in the scullery. You can also keep the kitchen bin in the scullery
Let's meet at Rockets in Bryanston after 5pm. It's been a long week. Let the weekends begin.

Glad you liked it!! We will do more
Hey boo can't wait til you're back shooting again. Get well rested and hurry back we miss you 😘
I wanted to know if they did solar there, really glad y’all share that little nugget.
Plenty of solar
We go beyond solar, we incorporate green material, rain water harvesting and grey water system. Note solar doesn't mean zero carbon emission cause disposal of panels poses a problem.

The second house does it for me just awesome..

Wow beautiful house
So America doesn’t have 2 in 1 machines? Wow! I see she was really blown away by Polo Fields. SA property market provides a lifestyle..
No, we only have the separate washer and dryer
@@tracywalker244 we learn everyday hey. We have separate ones too but a lot of standard houses offer a single plumbing connection and therefore people have a choice to buy 2 in 1 washer/dryer combo rather than washer only.
How a first world country do have that?
We have both options here separate unites and combi units. I am finding here in South Africa we have options for things people have around the world and the Africa/South Africa versions as well. In short more options

You know what’s going on here? This type of service does exist in the states, but you have to be a multi multi millionaire to access it.. it is going to COST you. You’re priced out of this type of lifestyle, but it’s more accessible to middle class Americans because of the exchange rate, the affordability of SA itself, and the income we receive in dollars. That’s the difference.
Also to expensive for the majority of South Africans. They don't have access to a stronger currency.
@@jackinthebox6452 actually the majority of black South African middle class live in estates like the Pollo fields she’s talking about with all the amenities she’s just mentioned- those condos are very very affordable both for buying and renting. We lived at The Reid in Sandton and the majority of the occupants were black middle class.
@Jackinthebox, that’s not correct though … it’s mostly SAns who live in these places. If you are a South African you clearly don’t know much about your country.
*black South Africans* I forgot to mention that!

I love watching the content. I would like to see home with larger yard space without the homes so close together. And it would also be nice to see the school systems. Ah you mad
It sounds like you provide a great service. I found out about you when Asha casually gave you a shout-out in one of her videos. But I had no idea. I'm considering several countries on the continent for my retirement. SA was one of them. Several of my friends have mentioned SA and their desire to settle there. I will probably hop around a little on the continent once I retire. But I will definitely plan to reach out to truly experience what SA has to offer....and I'll definitely keep watching your videos.

Most Americans (black ones) cannot afford the $1600 a month for mortgage. What about the VISA laws there in SA? You cannot get a retirement VISA unless you get $2500 a month. How many of us get that?
If that's the case then stay at home luv, only those that can afford will come . simple as that

How much would it cost to build a 4 bedrooms house in SA? Looking for info, thank you!
First you have to consider the area where you will buy with regards to costs, then an architect for your plan. There are options you may take either you hire a contractor to do the job for you from start to completion or you can get someone who knows those e.g. builder, tile, carpentry, electricians, plumber and so on. They may charge you separate unlike for example a contractor, check property 24 website you may find what you like
@@njabulocele9191 thank you, but I was looking for number, example in Ghana you can easily build a 3 to 4 bedrooms house for 60 000$US
building will not cost that much buddy but a plot to build on will cost you a lot

What is the average weather yearly?
Best to Google about SA weather but what I can tell you, we have 4 seasons spring, summer, autumn and winter. Our winter is cold but not too extreme there are also parts of the country that snow during winte, it depends which part of the country you are at as some are provinces/states are worse others better than others during winter season. Summer is the best time as well more outing activities
We have reverse seasons here as well. We hav more hot and warm months than the US for sure. Weather is good most of the time

Just make sure your new house comes with a generator or other alternative source of electricity. Why do you forget to mention this important piece of detail ?
Solar is widely available and affordable in SA unlike the US
Why would you need a generator?
@The Real South Africa it is widely available yes, and the prices are coming down, but it’s still out of reach to the vast majority of private households as well as businesses.
@@nicobr00 why do you need a generator for?
Lawd have mercy.. I’m planning now. I must buy there.. There is no way in Hell you can get this quality for this price in the U.S.
I thought its only South African black people who see a swimming pool as luxury lol.
Swimming pool is no longer a luxury.
It’s not really a luxury per se in Florida but more of an added expense, both of my neighbors have one but we do not. There tends to be a lot of drowning here during the summer months when kids are off from school. If you have small children or grandchildren, then you really need to fence your pool. Even with swimming lessons and proper pool safety, you still have to watch them closely.
@@TheDtfamu89 even here one needs to have a pool cover to avoid drowning incidents however, a lot of schools offer swimming lessons.
Not luxury but a danger to our kids.
@@bafanamsibi4388 I know, it was just the level of fascination in her voice when she mentioned that the house has a pool (she mentioned it at least 3 times) hence my comment.
