- Our visit to Pompeii and Herculaneum in Italy. ….This is a Day tour which we booked in advance. They will pick you up from your Hotel and drop you off on the way back. Lunch is also included in this tour. This video was taken Summer July 2022. There is a heat wave in Europe so it was very uncomfortable as you can see this ruins is very much open there is no shade whatsoever. We were both surprised how big this place is ...you really need all day just to go around. This place is very interesting and you can just use your imagination what happenned here 2000 yrs ago....absolutely fascinating!!
It's one of those places you really have to see...I would recommend to come here during off peak season ie September to December to avoid to many crowds and obviously the weather.
