I’m working towards getting my license but i feel way more comfortable driving with one hard i think i am used to it really any tips or helps would be appreciated thanks in advance
Hey Steve, I was just wondering, if you are changing through gears can you keep your hand on the gear stick or do you need to put your hand back on the steering wheel between them?
Hi, I failed my test for not knowing how to signal when doing all types of parkings, doing three point turns, after reversing out of a driveway, & etc. Can you please make a video on this? Thanks
I think the english driving rules are outdated. Its sad but most of it are just rules to make money and increase chances of failing. For example mirror signal if you do signal mirror its a minor. Steering with one hand or coasting when you reach the last 10 metres to a junction. Or putting the gear into the same gear just to make sure your in the right gear. Absolutely stupid. Examiners cant drive to pass except find faults that are actually nonsensical
This is a stupid rule that still hasn't changed. It's not just driving, but also schools, prison laws, international laws and so much more. Some societies need to adapt to time, see why countries like this don't advance economically? One-hand steering is not safe for beginners, but good for intermediates and professionals. Grip the wheel to hard and it becomes hard to steer, you steer slower. Not to mention how much more confusing hand-foot coordination will be. One-hand eases you up and much easier to return the wheel back to it's original position. With other types of steering, you risk over-turning and hitting the curb. Under-turning and hitting the opposing lane. One-hand gives efficiency, control, and ergonomics. Honestly, just do what works best for you. One-hand was my first type since a beginner and I still prefer it now.
I only use both hands when the road is very uneven. One hand is really a relief when going in and out heavy traffic, doing sharp turns fast using a manual transmission.

Hey Steve, heard you can't go for your test without a manual handbrake, is this true? button electric handbrakes are not allowed?
Reportedly, some assessors accept it, some don't. All of our cars have the manual hanbrake. Best to call them before your test and ask
i keep my palm pretty muh where you do

Hi! You have to hold steering while not changing gears in the test. Otherwise they will mark you for vehicle management
