David, we do not have a video covering the SEN signal at this time. But we do have a lot of material at yaskawa.com - search from the homepage for "absolute encoder". One result is in the video description. The Sigma-5 User Manual also covers details of the SEN signal and the serial data. Hope this helps
Hi, Thank you for great video! Is there a video or more information covering the use of second external encoder like linear scale with Sigma 5 drive? In SigmaWin + Ver. 7 Pn002 has selection of external encoder use only in forward or reverse direction but not both?
Thank you for your interest. The auto-tuning is dependent upon the load and since we are tuning for a direct relationship of amplifier to motor stator position we would never include the external encoder position for tuning purposes. The polarity of the external encoder is what Pn002 is referring too, it can be used in both forward and reverse. Please contact our Tech Support team at www.yaskawa.com/support-training/support for more details.
Hello! Great Video! In actual application, what factors would determine the Position Completed Width or In Position Window? For any particular movement, you would want the motor to stop exactly at the command position, but what determines how soon before actual command position is reached can the /COIN signal turn ON. Thank you!
Hi I know this an old video, but you mentioned that you have done a Sigma-2 tuning class where can I find this? I've searched and searched an can;t find it.
