I discovered Game Grumps in summer 2020 and it absolutely helped me with my depression and isolation. They're like friends I hung out with in school.

During that part where the machine's giving Arin tickets and he's doing the Street Fighter rap, they're at the Golf 'n' Stuff in Downey, California! My best friend who passed away this last May lived walking distance from it, and over the course of our 29-year friendship, we went there SO many times! It made us so happy to see the Game Grumps have fun there, though we were sad we weren't there at that time. 😅

God I remember watching Wind Waker as it came out while I was in senior year of high school, and I was going through depression and health issues essentially in tandem. It was a rough year, but that playthrough lives rent free in my head for comfort entertainment and always will.

I discovered Game Grumps when Jon was part of the show. I have struggled with BPD my whole life, as well as permanent physical disability when I turned 20. Now I'm 25, healing so much of myself and about to graduate with 2 degrees and take a sabbatical before going to graduate school. Their content has kept me safe when I was having PTSD from an abusive relationship, simply by having background noise all day, and gradually assisted me back on my feet as I healed myself. They give us the "cushion" we need so that we can help ourselves.
