I recently went to a hill climb event, Standing next to the cars on the start line as they take off is pretty insane, Videos don't come close to the real thing in person it feels violent, the only similarity is the identifiable exhaust note the mic captures and the visual aspect, Sound and feel is the biggest difference.

Constant turbo and limiter noise sounds terrible, constant big rpm is where its at especially in a naturally aspirated car, on off throttle continuously sounds annoying as fk!

Qualifying skids started not long after spectator gates opened. Finals skid was done in front of a much bigger crowd at the end of the night.
