I just watched this again and both Alex and Lianne hit the nail on the head when they said that the team and manager need to be honest with their analysis of their performances. They obviously watch their games back with rose tinted glasses as the same mistakes are happening game after game with what would appear to be no attempt to look at ways to correct the consistent poor defending. What the three games showed was that if GB are going to do well at the Olympics there has to be work done to correct the consistent unforced defensive errors and inability to defend set pieces. It also shows that it is crucial for Kim Little, Lisa Evans, Erin Cuthbert and Jen Beattie to be Included in the squad if they are all fit. We have gone backwards under Phil because he doesn't seem able to accept that the team, coaching staff and players need to be analysing performances honestly and working on correcting the things that are going wrong game after game. Only looking for positives from games is never going to win anything because the mistakes become standard playing practice as no one sees them as a problem.
We need to get rid of Phil. We are abysmal atm. There’s too many changes in the squad, no cohesion between players. We aren’t calm on the ball. We give away sloppy passes and don’t take the time to look for spaces and move into those spaces. Nikita parris to me rarely ever finishes on the Ball. We really were missing our big names, Jill Scott, Beth Mead, Lucy Bronze. Our creative smart thinkers. They were saying here they didn’t think we had players like that but we do. Beth Mead makes fantastic chances for England. She puts amazing crosses into the box, but she’s injured :( I just find it so disappointing that the team never has consistency atm. We brought in so many young players but we don’t seem to have This desperate need to WIN anymore. We seem complacent.

@ Andrew Sanderson Alex spent three years of her career in the US because at the time the standard of Women's football in England wasn't as competitive. She also played against the likes of Alex Morgan and Brazil's Marta and became one of the best defenders in the game. Once her three years had finished she returned somewhat prematurely to Arsenal because the Women's Soccer League had folded and at this time the Women's Super League was beginning to match the professionalism of the USA. Based on her experience of playing in the USA she praises them a lot because they not only produce many quality players but like I also mentioned beforehand her decision to leave England at the time helped her to become the best possible player which wouldn't have been possible had she not made the transition when she did.

Before 10 mins in England v USA We hit wood work & rest if game is SOLD we no commentary of the match just how great certain American footballers no goals have been scored we lost we scored and we could have won it I just wondered why does Alex keep going on about how great USA was and how much we didn't have a chance we lost to one but we had loads of chances I suppose after watching many England Internationals forgive my colours and full stops on previous comments it was best watched with the sound low and a radio commentary

I agree I would put bronze in left midfield so she can cut in and dribble and have shots at goal. the goalkeeper should be the young man city keeper
