Vaati is chronologically the first villain that a reincarnation of the hero faced, and he's chronologically the first villain to threaten Hyrule. Centuries after his defeat, he somehow reappeared with no memory of the Light Force or being a Minish, And he named himself the Wind Mage and kidnapped girls from their home.
Was about to bring up Demise before realizing you said REincarnation, AKA not the first Link. 😅

I believe there's an implication that much like Fallen Timeline Ganon, Vaati slowly went insane and believed that his "Kirby Boss" form is his true self...

Vaati deserves to come back. Being the second most recurring Villain and all.
And since the FS games are entirely owned by Nintendo (unlike the whole mess that Mario RPG is) there's no reason why they can't bring him back. Let my boy shine again!
Especially if Vaati is like a second in command of the demon king Ganondorfs army like Ghirahim was

@@StarWritterSW overall it would be very interesting to have both Ganondorf and vaati in a Zelda game but it makes me wonder will Ganondorf be Vaatis master or the other way around I think Ganondprf is more powerful just for the simple fact that he has the title of demon king

@@StarWritterSW I’m talking about more of a game like OOT, WW, BOTW, TOTK type of game more like the big name Zelda type of game I wonder what would Ganondorf think of Vaati would those two try to control each other, would a dominance type of act happen or would it be more like servant/master type of relationship happen
I'll let you have the Nightmare, because Vaati was a Wind Mage, and the nightmare was of the Windfish...so it works.
Honestly, I think it would be kinda cool if maybe vaati infiltrated the wind fish, putting him to sleep forever so he could rule the world. That would be really cool.

It's actually insane how now the time is right for Four Swords Adventure to return the Wii U and Switch could serve as the GBASPs and the TV as the overworld screen.
We don't know what Nintendo's next console will be like. Also a Minish Cap remaster would be nice...
To be honest the nightmare from link s awakening looks more like dark matter from the kirby franchise

Octavo isn't Vaati... he's literally mentioned in Crypt of the Necrodancer's story. He's his own character.
That's a fair take, but there are a lot of corrolated elements. Wind, music, purple/black color scheme, that hair.
In Melody's story it is revealed that Octavio is the bard who became the Necrodancer. This is why when you play as the bard you are allowed to go at your own pace, he hadn't set the curse yet.
@@yurisonovab3892 When playing Octavo in his story, the final boss is the Necrodancer and he literally says "Oh, how quaint. It's my past self!". This destroys any doubt about that Octavo is the Neecrodancer and not Vaati
@@SelnathornThe two Necrodancers are two different people. Octavian the Bard in the original and the Vaati inspired Octavo in CoH.
@@S.I.L. None the less, even though Vaati inspired, he is not Vaati in the end and the game does state so. All I want clarify that him being his own character is not a "fair take" but established truth

Four swords anniversary was my first Zelda game, so Vaati holds a special place for me. I’d be over the moon if he was brought back.

@@pushingdasies1 In Octavo's Ode you can get his old family heirloom. The crest that was on Vaati's darkened Mage's Cap.
While Octavo isn't Vaati, the locket item alludes to the fact that Octavo is Vaati's descendant. Saying that the gem that was on Vaati's hat is an heirloom passed down for generations, explaining the similarities between the two.

Octavo was actually intended to be Vaati, but since he's technically owned by Capcom it wasn't legally possible.
Vaati and Zant are amazing Villians that need to make a return.
As a Necrodancer/Cadence of Hyrule fan its somewhat painful watching no-beat mode v.v

The dark matter vaati
Y'know, looking back at Vatii and the Minish, the Zonai's designed were definately influenced by them. Vatii's "big" form heavily resembles the Zonai from TOTK, and his eye in the last phase looks a lot like the Construct's designs.
It would be cool that they bring him back for a totk continuation, something like a zonai god or a thing like that

Wasn’t Vaatis last appearance chronologically in four sword adventures on GameCube. I played that and I remember I found it weird he had nothing to say like before vaati was all about taunting link but in his last appearance he was silent
Yeah, four swords adventures was a weird one. Its weird throwing aside of vaati always sat poorly with me.

I always called Vaati "Dark Matter", because his 2nd form has a somewhat similar vibe of Dark Matter.
Sadly I don't think Vaati could return in the current timeline, unless they break even more continuity.
Vaati is originally a Minish, which don't exist in the BOTW and TOTK timeline, as they retcon basically *all* of the past lore in the series.
They already broke the timeline with TotK
Didn't anyone ever think maybe we don't ever see the minish in BOTW or TOTK because in the lore only children can see them? Link is a grown man in both those games.
They actually wanted to add the Minish in BotW, but the game engine refused to play ball and they were eventually forced to give up.
@@MalathTheBold actually same logic as the korok, you can see them if you are pure hearted and kids just so happen to be innocent up until a certain age its just there's VERY few pure hearted characters in tloz, even zelda herself is not actually considered pure hearted as far as im concerned (mainly due to her jealousy of link in the past) this is also the case for the dragons actually, except for specific people or specific spots, the dragons cant be seen, people just know where they roam because their shadows are still present this is something 2-3 npcs mention in botw,

That's hardly a good reason. Just because it's been awhile since Vaati has been canonically seen doesn't mean he's not still out there. It's been ages since we've seen Koume and Kotake, but we see them in that one scene in TOTK.

@@lordawesome9060 because theres no minish, they were supposed to be in game but they couldnt make it work, so the closest thing i could get was a zonnai with all that thing of the wind mage and such

@@dapple-drawings They're referencing the kirby enemy Dark Matter, the main kirby villain. Dark matter and Vaati both are Dark orbs with single eyes, pretty similar with attacks too

@@simonverse9466He's implied to at least be a descendant in Octavo's ode and has been hinted to have connections from the creator of CoH. In Octavo's Ode you get a family heirloom which is Vaati's Crest.

@@simonverse9466 Well he wants to make Zelda his bride in FS so I don't think it's not a possibility that he wanted to have children to continue his legacy. We've seen Ganon revived before so it's not out of question that it happened to Vaati. There are a lot of possibilities but the implications of a floating eye mating with a human disturbs me.

I also swapped between his final phase of his Minish cap fight and the cadence fight, and Octavo's theme is very clearly a remixed version of Vaati's. It might be a bit of a stretch, but its very rare for nintendo final bosses that aren't somehow related to share a theme so I can understand why he made that connection
One of the items you can find while playing as Octavo is a locket passed down through generations, which looks suspiciously like Vaati’s crest on his hat, and grants immunity to lightning and, more importantly, wind, all but confirming Octavo’s relationship to Vaati

En Minish cap si hubiera habido pelea contra vaati en su forma de hechicero además de sus 3 transformaciónes seguro que hubiera sido una pelea del mismo estilo de la pelea contra Aghami de Link to the past.
Dato curioso, vaati tomo esa forma para ganar el torneo de la espada, el es mejor espadachin que link al principio del juego, anque hay que destacar que canonicamente pasan meses desde que vaati rompe la espada y que link lo derrote
@@riolu477 es cierto ya me imagino que hubiera sido más épico que hubieran incluido una lucha contra el en esa forma usando este una espada hubiera sido como la pelea contra Ganondorf usando la espada para tirar rayos y golpear estos intentando evitar el contraataque.
Vaati has always been my most favorite character in the series, and so apon hearing the reasons why Yuga was put into hyrule warriors over him despite Vaati being MUCH more prominent and beloved.....it really REALLY annoys me, all because Jesus didn't get enough votes to be added in.....and yet Yuga got more???? I call BS, Vaati deserves WAY more love and attention then he does....he is the second most prominent villain in the series just before Ganondorf
