- 80's commercial for one of those slot car racing sets. Love the music cues for every turn they take.
This one has a particularly good commercial. I wonder when was the last time a company has bothered to make a commercial for one of these types of toy sets.
My two friends and I all got it for Christmas one year. We put it together into one giant track in my friend's basement. The loop went to the ceiling. It was really cool.
The commercials Makes me still want it
I remember this commercial. I wanted this real bad back then.
I had plenty of space, but no money sadly.
One of my favorite Christmas presents. I think I wore out the gears by trying to race them backwards.
I still have mine. If anyone wants it let me know. Purchased in October 1985.
I had this. The little tracking peg on the bottoms of the cars would jam at the seams between the track segments more often that I wanted. That was a pain in the ass.
Fun times nonetheless.
Got this for Christmas when I was 8 years old, Christmas 1985. Fell for the commercial. My dad worked on putting this together the whole day after Christmas. And it was a POS. Totally just advertising hype. Crap. Sad kid :(
I have one of those Corvette bodies in a ZR-1 scheme. These cars are probably just running your standard Tyco 440X2 chassis, the magnets on them are probably strong enough to do loops and stuff unmodified. The thing that's actually unique here is the track.
I wish I had that back in the day!!
Super! I had one, wore it out, like I did with my Knight Rider pedal car. :)
that is really kick ass
