Thank you for tackling this complex issue, Amanda. It is important for everyone to understand and comply with copyright laws to the best of your abilities when selling your products, especially digital images. Copyright and related issues have been around for many many years. With the addition of the digital age, the copyright issue escalated and became more confusing and more legally complex than ever. Today, to make matters even worse, we must now have the addition of tackling AI generated images adding to the copyright issue. If you are going to sell your products, please do your own research to insure you are compliant with copyright right laws.
AI generated images hold no copyright. You can not claim copyright on an AI image as you didn't make it AI did even if you gave it the prompts you can not legally claim copyright.. This is why I wont use AI in my work x
Oh my god… my request got to you!!! Amazing how the universe works! I was thinking of making masterboards, scan them and sell them. And here I am, randomly scanning RUclips, and I found this video, at 5 am on a Sunday with my cup of coffee… How on time this was!!! Thank you, because I was about to make a HUGE mistake!! OMG! It’s like I “call” you and asked you to make a video about it and with detailed info! Wow! HUGE THANK YOU!!!!❤❤❤
Aww so glad you found it helpful .. have fun creating masterboards .. remember if you can draw or paint you can totally add those on things for sale .. I sadly can not draw or paint to save my life ha ha xx

Amanda, I just can't get it right with these master boards, but I keep trying, thank you for explaining a few things to us, it helps, enjoy your day.
Keep it simple thats the key.. plainer images to the background then add key images to the top .. practice makes perfect xx

Thank you Amanda for that fantastic helpful information. I’m going to ask what rules are for digital master boards. I’ve got loads of CDs with lovely images on and thought of making a digital master board with them and print them out to use in journals but I’m not too sure on the copyright law for doing that. Any information will much appreciated. Thank you
If you are selling the journals you would need to ensure the CD you bought with the images allows for commercial use in digitalised form before you can do that x

Thanks Amanda. Just a question, I’m sure everyone else knows, what do you mean by find out if it in the public domain. How do you find that out please. Not that I sell jjs, but I do give them away.
Check the source.. Public domain means it has no copyright claim on the image x
Am i ok to send the journals to family members as long as its the original and its used as a gift or does that go against copyright laws too ?
If it’s the original it’s always fine x
Amanda I make journals as a gift to family I'm not selling it do I still have to worry about copyright I have ever sold a journal I just like to make them❤ 😊 thanks
It is always best practice to adhere to copyright all the time but most important if selling xx

Let's say I make a journal using your papers and posts pictures of the journal pages. Then someone copies my picture of your copywriter papers, what happens then. Is it safe to post pictures of copywriter items that you have permission to use?
