If you have some underweight but have some above weight, should we still consider taking out the 1 pounders? I just got a 4 pounder that had a 5.5 lb head. But in that same pond ive gotten some very big and healthy 7s.
Great video! I don’t know what it is about certain fish species but there’s some that seem to attract a disproportionate number of irrational lunatics that will scream bloody murder at you for harvesting a few perfectly legal fish. Bass, Snook, and Billfish seem to have the most vocal anti-harvesters associated with them for some strange reason. As a kid, I got yelled at once for keeping a couple 1-2lbs fish be a guy who routinely bragged about winning tournaments during spawning season by targeting big females on their beds. At the time I was way too young to understand fisheries biology but now I know that guy was a HUGE hypocrite for taking those females away, weighing them, and releasing them clear across the lake and likely dooming all their eggs and fry to death without their mother there to protect them.
Hey 👋. Why didn’t you call me. I got a skillet, oil, fish fry and a good sense of humor. We just need bread, tomatoes and pickles 🥒. Thought you were a friend 🧐😂😂

Yes. You want to bump the advantage to the biggest bass.
@aquaticbiologist6516 thanks man!

If you remove the fish species it’s usually the same irrational nonsense.
Best way to get that many out quickly?
@@MrCrob413 keep them when you fish or shock them out with the shock boat

🤣
Is it even realistic to stock LMB in a 1/4 pond?
No. I don’t recommend it
