@@Jumpoable who are you? how can you represent the majority of chinese? i'm one of the majority and i like this kind of performance.you are so arrogant!
@@obsidianstatue >4) Geisha performance has little to do with Tang dynasty artistry, it came to be in the 18th century and popularized in the 19th century and pre war japan. it's about Chinese as everything else in Japan. meaning it looks Chinese and that's all.
Did I saw ANYTHING about Japanese geishas???? NO I did not. Also, contemporary geisha look NOTHING like Chinese. To say that it does means you cannot even recognise clear characteristics of Chinese or Japanese aesthetics. NO. I mentioned GAGAKU 雅楽, which is totally Tang style music. Go RUclips it if you are ignorant of it.
>5) Communism is as part of Chinese culture as anything else.
Ahahahahahahahaa. Are you F@#KING kidding me??? We're discussing dance here & someone has to bring in politics??? I only mentioned communism because it has profoundly shaped Chinese dance in the 40s. Just watch that soviet crap on CCTV every CNY.
Please I beg you, if you 're with the party, keep that to yourself on a global platform, because nobody outside of China appreciates that party & the world is WAKING UP TO THE FACT that it is a Menace to the planet.
Communism is only a part of Chinese culture to SOME Chinese.
>This is why the current Chinese form of government is the best combination of traditional China and modern China. that is a combination of Confucianism and Legalism supporting a centralized professionalized bureaucratic state.
BWAHAHAHAHAAAA. Keep trying to convince yourself that, dear. Great if you're a boring a$$ Confucian & a sad, brutal Legalist. Legalism holds that human beings are essentially bad because they are inherently selfish. Is that what you think of your precious fellow Chinese? Selfish? That's so SAD. Guess you're not Taoist or Buddhist.
OH wait, before you argue & say that Buddhism was a foreign philosophy that entered China & transformed the country spiritually (for better or worse), AHEM, communism was also a foreign philosophy that entered China & CHANGED the COUNTRY spiritually (for worse or...)
>You shouldn't learn about China through anti-China channels that you subscribe to, they are the ones trying to fully westernize China.
I don't have to. I learn about China via my grandparents & family. We're in Hong Kong, Taiwan & Singapore. Try & convince some Americans & Europeans that communism is great. They're LOVING socialism right now. It's gonna make a GREAT comeback when China takes over the world officially.
The atmosphere of this music video is totally different from the previous ones. Dark and eerie....I actually feel like I’m watching the performance live before my very eyes! I was holding my breath watching it, afraid that a ghost might jump out of nowhere....The ending is super captivating.
This piece has depicted a ritual to communicate with the Heaven and pray for the ending of the endless raining. You can hear the thunder roaring and the rain dropping in the background. And the dance is also for communication with the Heaven. She's kinda like a priestress in this ritual. This music has a history for at least 500 hundred years, and they have restructed the whole set in this video.
I think this showed the real atmosphere of ancient night of China. when there's no electricity

i love the ending!! when the dancer suddenly disappeared and the lights went dark.
👏👏👏👏👏👏 I felt like a King sitting here watching this😂😂😂

A king would've been pretty scared too I guess lol. Not even an emperor would sit his ass down and watch a dark and thrilling sacrificial ritual...

@@ironblooded3474 Emperors from the ancient past WERE the divine priests. They were the key performers in any sacrifice.
Hhhhhh
It was AWESOME!!! I am a big fan of the Han Dynasty, but this performance from start to finish consumed me completely. Music vibrating in the heart, a dance from which one cannot look away, and a final chord from which the heart broke. Awesome. You guys are really amazing!!

✨This is Ancient Han culture China, and also for I know the most beautiful stories 🧚♂️ fairy tale started:)......God Goddess Divine being 🌞I was very inspired obsessed by the fashion style and music 🎼 very much since very little until now.....just feel it’s dream goddesses silky cloth always wish to wear. The ancient Chinese Han style always very luxury and in very subtle way.
💖Such beautiful artists thanks for sharing wish see more of Han culture performance 🎭
Honestly……this is something beyond the whatever we’re now. That’s why I like Han culture they don’t have so much limited for God /Goddess very open minded for something Divine unknown give respect for mysterious….. personal think it important to be humble for unknown continue to acknowledge for the universe 🪐…the space they give us is potential /possibilities.is who we want to be the highest 🌞That is the beauty & Freedom we want ✨
Listening and watching these videos for free just feels very wrong... Now that I feel I owe you too much.
Please make more videos with this dancer. Her movements are beautiful and amazing!
Awesome! Thanks for doing this I enjoy all your videos. And thanks to people in the comments for telling us in English what and were is is from. I always enjoy these and the history.
In ancient times, the Emperor of China would have people do this dance and play this song to worship the gods in the sky and to thank our ancient ancestors.
Han Dynasty is definitely one of the best eras in human history

Mesmerising! Couldn’t take my eyes off the Dancer!
This is absolute amazing! I've got goosebumps all over my body. Definitely need more like this.

Stunning, mesmerizing performance! Usually, Chinese traditional dances do not show these VERY old influences from shamanic rituals and such.
