To answer poppt’s question, in psychology, there’s something called the Yerkes-Dodson Law, which basically says that too low or too high physical or mental arousal (not the sexual kind) causes us to perform poorly in whatever we’re doing, and we need a good balance in arousal to have an optimal performance (related to flow state). This law is shown through a bell curve and explains why Holly accidentally locked herself outside in a high-stress situation. tldr: if we’re too lazy or anxious when doing something we tend to mess up. Love the pod btw
From the way Jordan described his surgery, it sounds like he has to get Mohs Surgery.
My dad had to get this done for a spot on his nose. It was very large, and the surgery took longer than expected, but it has a very high chance of success and according the doctors, it is basically a 100% chance that they remove it all because the surgery its used for is to remove skin cancers that have a very low chance of spreading.
My dad got the surgery after a heart attack (like 3 months after), and still healed up just fine in about a month.
Not to say it isnt serious, but trust the doctors and try not to worry too much, the surgery sounds scarier than it is!

IDEAS FOR A SEGMENT:
- Jackson brings some words to the other 3. They don’t know if it’s a real word or not, and he spells out and gives a definition for each, then they try to guess if it’s real or not (this was inspired by Jordan saying Stroppy, which I didn’t know was a word- not used in the US much)
- BS History: everyone- but probably best for Jordan- is given a random war on Wikipedia, but the catch is you only get the name, date, and countries involved (e.g., War of 1812, 1812-1815, USA and Britain); Jordan’s goal is to come up with a plausible reason for why they are fighting. If he’s close, he gets a point. (As I’m writing this, I realize there may be a better version…)
- BS History (v2 lul): someone (probably Jackson) finds some random, hopefully pretty obscure war on wiki. He then tries to creates some fake ones (e.g., pulls inspiration from Star Wars or GoT or something), and the group has to guess which is the real war in History and which is the fake one
- Marry, F*ck, Kill but with countries: someone chooses 3 random places/countries and you have to choose to live there (marry), visit there (f*ck), or can’t be bothered (kill)

8:45 the entire story is : they filmed people collecting spaghetti from trees in Ticino (Switzerland) saying that the harvest was great this year (1957), and it was broadcast by the BBC and many English people believed it because most pasta were bought in tin can at the time, therefore they couldn’t know.
I used to work at a steakhouse and we had commoners that would order blue rare steaks sometimes and we just grabbed it out of the cooler, grilled the edges a bit and sent it out. Disgusting. we also had one guy that would come in about once a week. he would tell us he would be there in 5 mins. We knew his order so we got it done and he would show up like 15-20 mins later and his steak would be so cooked that it curves in on itself and cant lay flat anymore.
Hope Jordan’s operations continue to go well.

Jordan, sorry to hear about the diagnosis. I got diagnosed with Melanoma when I was 20. After 4 gnarly surgeries and over a pound of skin removed from my back I’m now cancer free. I appreciate the light heartedness, and I know Christians are easily made fun of on this channel(which is funny, everyone should be fair game) but I’ll be praying for you man💪🏼

My grandfather had gotten skin cancer from being out in the sun and ended up killing him, but it sounds less extreme on Jordan's end. When he died, it really impacted our family and I don't want his family and friends to go through what I did. Hoping for the best and speediest recovery for you. Good luck on your battle and we know you'll succeed against skin cancer.

For clarification in German we call them "Blutig"(bloody), "Medium"(that one is self-explanatory) and "Durch" (through). Sure, it depends on the region what you call it but your on the safe side with these.

Funny story, on the whole twin thing switching classes, a girl in my English class has an identical twin with a sister, and we’re all seniors for context. We play a class game called spoons where someone has a target each week and has to steal the plastic spoon that their target carries and every player has a plastic spoon. So the twins switched classes in order to get the girl sitting next to one of the twins in my English class, but literally nobody knew until everybody heard her announce she had stolen the spoon. It was actually so crazy seeing a completely different person successfully get away with switching classes all for a joke and a game, it was so funny. I have the video still and everytime I watch it I crack up.

Golf courses have a schedule of tee times and who used the course at what time. If you give them a time frame for when the ball could have smashed the window they can look at who was on the course at the time and question them.

The problem with prime is, it doesn't actually function well as a sports drink, as it has way too much pottassium, and not much of any other electrolytes. You don't actually burn much potassium during a workout, but potassium tastes better than sodium in a sugary drink, so they use it, just to say they have tons of electrolytes an not a lot of sugar.
As an Irish person who lives in the south I can confirm Zack's point about ireland being full with castles. You can't go 5 seconds here without one

But wow. The shock and sadness I felt when hearing Jordan say that he has cancer felt like a friend saying it to my face -as cringe as that may be to type.
I'm glad it's on the lower end of the spectrum of bad cancers. You seem to be in good hands doctors and surgeons in Australia are bound to have a lot of practice and research for the type you have.
