SONY, DIATONE(Mitsubishi), DENON, YAMAHA etc. And there were many manufacturers outside of Japan, ex B&W, B&O, Linn, Wilson audio etc. But there was a speaker designer who gained more popularity in Japan than that. Audio critic Tetsuo Nagaoka. He designed hundreds of speakers, some of which are produced by more than 1,000 audiophiles in Japan. He died in 2000, and then handmade speaker enthusiasts declined sharply. Most current Japanese handmade speaker enthusiasts are influenced by him. If you are interested, check out Tetsuo Nagaoka.
