Just brought a blue burst RG home Saturday. Love the bike coming from an 18. My only complaint is the speaker volume at highway speeds. I can’t hear as good as I could on my 18 so guess I’ll be upgrading speakers BUT, again that’s my only complaint. They really focused on the important stuff on the base models and made a huge improvement over previous base models.
Congratulations on the new bike! I agree the speakers are quiet but the rest of the bike is amazing!
New Sub, purchased my 24RG end of January, more I ride it the more I love it.. Thank you
Thanks for the sub! Congrats on the new bike! I feel the same way about mine!
hope you enjoy the bike. I decided to keep my 21 ultra and not go to the new bike because i would be losing money off trading and already have money into my bike.. I'm just going to upgrade it to 128" and roll on
Thanks! As long as you’re on two wheels is all that matters! Safe riding!
Have the same bike but in White Onyx Pearl. My purchase build included Krome Werks 4.5 slip ons, CVO heated grips, rear crash bars, upgraded stage II speakers in fairing and saddlebags, blacked out engine and a few other things. Would love a Klock Werks 6” windshield if they EGOTA and make one but Love love this bike for sure! 👍
Great video, thanks
Thank you! Congrats on your new bike! I'm curious what's in the pipeline from Klock Werks too. So far they've only released the 13 inch windshield and that just looks to big to me.
Did you put the bigger amp in the bike when you put the stage 2 speakers in? How does it sound? What baffle in the slip pms?
@@michaelneal-v7c yes the 500 watt amp was installed. Sound is amazing. Didn’t do anything with the baffles. Just put the Krome Werks 4.5 slip ons on. They sound amazing as well!
Thank you for sharing! I wonder what options will be available for the windscreen. I have a 2021 Road Glide and the setup is completely different. Take care!
Thanks for watching! I’m hoping there will be some new windshields available at Daytona 🤞🏻
@@gropplife the Harley website has a nice selection too.
Glad the algorithm served this up. I’ve liked road glides forever but have never ridden one. I liked them before they were cool 😂
You should test ride one!
Bike looks awesome! Man, you are making the RoadGlide real appealing,, enjoy every ride🏍️🏍️🏍️
Thank you! It’s a great bike! Blown my expectations away!
RoadGlide the best glide right 🤔😄😎
I have a 24 road glide also and looking for seats in Daytona the first few days. Love my new bike
Hopefully there will be some good seats available to check out but I am honestly impressed with the stock seat. Thanks for watching! Enjoy your new bike!
Great video man! I picked me up a 2024 RG a couple weeks ago. I live in Colorado so I only have about 200 miles on her so far. I'm about 6'2" so I'll be curious to hear your feedback on windshields, seats etc. They definitely need pipes though!
Thank you! Congrats on the new RG! I love Colorado, gonna hopefully make it back there this year. I’m 6’3” and surprisingly the windshield works great and I don’t get any buffeting but I’m still looking to upgrade to Klock Werks when they release. The seat is pretty comfortable, haven’t done more than a 150 mile stretch so far and I have no complaints. I agree pipes are a must! My S&S GNX install video is also up. Thanks for watching!
@@gropplife Awesome man! I'll check that out. This is my first Harley and fairing bike so I'm just trying to get a feel for things overall.
@@justinsutherland7214 thanks! Same here, the fairing makes a huge difference going down the highway!
I traded my 2022 APEX Street Glide special for the Whiskey Fire RG last week. I added a HD 10 inch recurve windshield which made a huge difference. I also added Rinehart DBX 40's, rear bag guards and HD's Adversary grips.
Congratulations on the new bike! I’ve been starting to consider the recurve windshield but still waiting for klockwerks to release their 9 inch
Hmmmm...i'm thinking about trading my 2022 RG Special...sounds like you're happy with the trade! man i'm thinking!!!:)
Besides appearance what was the reason you picked the road over street glide? Deciding myself.
The fixed fairing was the biggest factor in the decision
Love the bike! I'm looking at a whiskey fire one myself lol, got a stage 2 107 now, I put 60,000 miles on her
Thank you! I was tempted by whiskey fire, it’s a good looking color!
I got 300 miles on mine and today the county salted the roads for the two inches of snow we might get in Missouri.😩
Oh no!!!! That sucks! I’m getting mine ceramic coated in about a week to help protect from stuff like that.
Man! The south ain’t so bad for riding. Snow ❄️ no bueno
Is the dealership recommending you change the oil at the 500-mile mark (just after the break-in) or more like the 1000-mile mark?
Harley recommends your first service at 1,000 miles, 500 miles is just engine break in before you can go over 3500rpm
Great view. I live in Virginia, but I am from Toombs County, GA. I was like, man, that reminds me of home
Thanks! Georgia Carolina woods do have particular look to them!
Sounds good. You really need to change the headers and that sound will really come out more.
I will once I upgrade to stage 2 and get a tuner
Great review man! I may have missed it, but did you consider the Street Glide after the Road King? What pushed you to the Road Glide?
Thank you! I didn’t consider the street glides because I was wanting a fixed fairing so I didn’t feel wind in my handlebars plus I just like the look of the road glides better
Nice review. Does the bike have heated grips?
Thank you! Not yet, I’ll probably install some in the fall, their really easy to install on the new bikes
Hey man great video and content! Just bought mine waiting on delivery this week. What’s your opinion on the speakers and sound? Heard it at the dealership and seemed a little weak compared to my 22 RG Special. Maybe it was the settings but wanted to hear your opinion. Thanks for the feedback and keep doing your thing 💪🏽!
Congratulations on the new bike! I wear a full face and use a Cardo for music so I have only turned on the bike speakers a couple of times. They do seem alittle quiet in my opinion but also this is the first bike I’ve ridden with speakers. Thanks for watching!
@@gropplife ok thanks for the feedback! Stay safe my brother.
@@juanpinillos5054 thanks! You too!
is that a standard screen for the 2024?
Yes, its the only screen size now
nice scenery, where are you?
I’m in Augusta, Ga
Are you doing a,tune with the new slip ons?
No tune needed for just slip ons
Do you actually like that white dash panel?
I didn’t like it at first but it is a lot easier on your eyes during the day
@@gropplife I don't think I would ever like it.
@@carolinarider5237 that’s what I thought too
Can you change the color to black?
You do know you can go into settings and turn your hi contrast off to get your normal black screen right??
How do you find the stereo? Can you hear it at highway speed?
It’s not super load but I’m also wearing a full face helmet. I’ve only turned the speakers on a couple of times and mainly use my Cardo for music
What would happen if you dont break it in?
You would have a motor that may not last as long with excessive wearing on the internals. The break in period helps settle in all the components smoothly.
Real gages are so much sexier imo. I hate screens
I used to feel the same way up this screen grew on me because the rest of the bike is just so good
oh, when siri is talking adjust the sound level, same with maps etc.
I've tried that but its still really low compared to everything else. I'm sure it'll get worked out.
You already know that exhaust gotta get switched
It has been, that video is just about to be posted! Sounds so much better!
@@gropplife look forward to watching
Nice, if only I had the money
Thanks! Yeah if I didn't spend so much time on it I couldn't justify it myself
It's so weird seeing a 2024 bike with 2019 tech and features. We need a real "new" road glide with some innovation instead of chasing other brands. Love my '22 RG and all of it's old tech but man this '24 just isn't it. For a first RG bike , glad you like it, definitely a win if you are coming from something smaller.
Coming from a 19 road king I’m loving the new road glide. Like it more each time I ride it!
HARLEY STEREOS ARE GARBAGE. YOUR GONNA NEED AN AMP ALSO. CALL VOLUNTEER AUTO. NICE RIDE
Thank you! Yeah the speakers do leave alot to be desired but I mainly listen on my cardo in my head so I'll probably leave the stereo alone on the bike
