I was showing some of the remixes I'd collected over time, and the one you did for Utsuho came up (on the assumption that "house set" meant you did it). Apparently I'm not the only who thinks you did nicely.
It's an Ofuda. A paper talisman. I'd assumed it was something to do with stopping her body rotting away, but... the Touhou wiki says it's just a "to do list" written by the person who raised her from the dead. I imagine what that really means is a set of instructions she has to follow.
It is a Chinese 符 (fú) (also known as 符籙 and 神符, among other things). DGneoseeker1 and gamer123338 are both right. They're meant as "instructions to spirits." Also described here in part 4 on Baike wiki: baike.baidu.com/view/145424.htm A quick translation: The fulu is a kind of Taoist magic also known as fuzi*, molu*, danshu*. It is a mark or list that goes on a yellow piece of paper or silk. The symbols' strokes are sometimes crooked or wrong as a kind of secret script. Taoism claims that the fulu are in godly writing, and instruct spirits. They can be used to summon spirits, get rid of spirits, or fix disease or calamity. *fuzi = 符字, literally "talisman character" *molu means "ink list" *danshu = 丹書 "red/cinnabar book/letter," further interesting because in Taoism cinnabar (mercury with sulfur or something) supposedly has magical properties English Wikipedia has an article here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fulu
