The things you see him doing throughout the video (bathtub, staring into the lightbulb, staring into the broken mirror and the light coming through the crystals) are ways to alter your mind, then he was shown trying to sleep bringing back the dream. He sees a glimpse again, and is then shown frustrated when he can't find a paper/pencil in time to catch it. I think the end is alluding to the viewer being that muse, as he is shown waking up and has just the hint of a smile as he looks into the camera. I love the artistry of this video so much.
