My favorite part of the film. As wonderful as the rest of the film is, it never quite reaches the magic of the Munchkinland sequence. I think it’s the music that makes the difference. And Garland, Burke and Hamilton are just legendary in their parts.
I own the two cd set that has the complete score and I don’t know why, but at the part where Dorothy first starts walking the yellow brick road and each munchkin walks up to her saying “Follow the Yellow Brick Road!” Why is that not in my version or yours because it would come In-between the music parts?
