At least 8.5 hours a day 5 days a week.
If one of them got shot by her, they need to sue the department for her actions.
She backed away into the hallway from the fight over the gun as well as closed the door before her Sgt flung it back open. Then proceeded to shoot past the Sgt into a pile of bodies. That is absolutely wild.

Then she put her right hand on the door, casually resting it there. I’m not a police officer, but thinking 1. If she carries on her Rt hip, she’s moved her hand farther away from her weapon. Why ?
2. A significant number of police officers are shot with their own gun, she’s in close quarters, and has left her gun uncovered and open. His hand is closer to it than hers is.

@@davidnorman5325 I really tried to see past it initially, but the past 4 years where nearly every video I watch has a female officer needlessly escalating situations for their own ego or putting their fellow officers in harms way for no reason has convinced me otherwise. Plus there is the added simple logic of size in a straight of fight. If a female officer is smaller/weaker than the average male they come across, how could they ever subdue a suspect without using deadly force? I think if you are encountering a really belligerent suspect, them knowing the only responding officer is someone they can tackle may increase the odds they try it. I don't have exact data, but I am tired of seeing constant examples of the incompetence from exactly the same types of officers.

Even from the start, the contact officer was WAY too polite and all the officers were way too chill considering the situation and his demeanor.
What the heck happened to holsters that retained the weapon even if a suspect grabbed it? Holsters that required a specific draw-stroke otherwise they wouldn't release the weapon. Those were actually common on the hips of NYPD officers back when the S&W model 10 was standard-issue. Heck, some officers were issued DAO S&W model 64s as late as the mid-1990s. They switched to Glocks, and the holsters regressed in retention.
I have noticed an increase in Depts that now use the friction retention holsters. My former Dept uses a similar design but still demands a thumb break in addition

I was a cop for 24 years. 18 of that as a patrol cop. Most of it as a Field Training Officer and a lot as a Sergeant/Watch Commander. This video just makes my head hurt.

I was totally not exactly sure what was going on until Her BWC was up... OMG It was like a scene from those old 1990's Police "scenario-vision" trailers that would go around from department to department and test your descision making and reflex skills with a laser gun and a huge backdrop screen with multiple encounter scnearios. They were always so over the top and the actors weren't actors, and the studio that made them were not being consulted by any police from anywhere usa. This video felt like that.

The Battle Creek shooting; they had been dealing with that guy all day. Also, the backup officer had just arrived, wasn't waiting outside. She went in without back up.
One of my in-laws was SP. She insisted on being tested by the standards for male officers-and crushed it. She believes (rightly so) that the standards should be the _minimum_ physical fitness required for a demanding and potentially dangerous job. Unfit officers are in danger themselves and pose a real hazard for their partners.

Had an Active Army Sgt raised in Battle Creek go AFG SSgt in our Technical Training Course after basic, he definitely looked like the kind of guy to be from a place called Battle Creek, dude just looked like he knew the job on day 1 and needless to say he walked away with a commanders excellence and academic excellence award 😂

I'm retired now, but in our academy many years ago we had 2 females that would always turn their heads completely sideways and cringe, closing their eyes, on every shot they fired at the range. They could not keep their eyes open or even look at the target when they fired. This went on for weeks, with zero improvement.
On graduation day they were held back for firearms qualification retraining until they 'could' pass and supposedly a month later they did finally 'pass'.
While all of us had been assigned to the streets, these 2 were thankfully assigned to police records dept.
They later sued for 'discrimination' in not being put on the streets and ended up winning the suit, getting $$$ and put on the streets, but thankfully not in my precinct/district.
Both were unquestionably unfit for the job.
Of I was that much of a loser and got myself shot, my mom would be way more upset about her glassware than me.
The one getting out of the way to gather her self, I can see how in that situation she had a natural reaction to flee. The other one just popping shots into a pile of people though😂 damn

After a suspect used black powder gun to kill two police officers that were transporting him to jail (other cops didn't search him) the whole country was mourning. I can't believe there's people, daily, wondering if they'll come home, if their spouse will - and some don't, over such.. bullshit. I hope the community comes together for their families, for all it's worth now that they are gone..:(

My grandparents lived in Battle Creek and my grandfather worked at the Jackson prison near there as a guard when a riot happened in the 80s I think. One of his fellow COs was a women who locked herself in a cell when it happened and left him out of it to be jumped by a bunch of inmates, really messed up his ankle and he's never walked right since. Seriously one of the kindest, gentlest guys I've ever met, but he said after that day he'd never work with a woman in that type of job ever again and I can't say I blame him or if those first two officers felt that same way.

We are in pure 🤡🌎. This is nothing new, but it's reached such epidemic levels on departments, it's hard to ignore. It was never a woman's job, and still isn't.

Being loud does not compensate for low physical response time, lack of physical strength, and ability to move with accuracy & urgency.

Don't think she's a Sergeant, she has two stripes. She is probably a Corporal/Training Officer. I was in several shooting situations, and in all of them at least one person, usually more felt the need to pull out their radio and start yelling "Shots fired". I always thought it would have been better if they had chosen to address the situation at hand.
Someone nearly killed me six months ago I'm Boston. I got a severe tbi bleeding in four parts of my brain fractured on both sides my head is still messed up cognition slowed sleep nearly impossible ears blaring. I was hospitalized for over a week. It was a total attack caught on city camera. Some of the worst head injuries a neurologist has ever seen. Weeks later he assaulted a police officer and targeted a visibly pregnant woman and assaulted her too. He ducked the arraignment for my case but was caught for another violent crime. He just did five years for robbery 2nd in new York.
The prosecution called me Friday with their proposed deal. Drumroll please:
A year and a half behind bars......
So now I have to take more time off and head up there to beg the court for more.
Try and find a lawyer who will work on commission.
And sue them (and their family) in civil court for your medical bills.

There should be tests - real tests for physical and mental strength, aptitude and resiliance under pressure.
You know - things that actually matter if you're a cop.
There should be no difference allowed for sex, race or anything else because when a crim is going for you they aren't going to care who's in the uniform.

We also learned that tasers are 100,% effective 60% of the time.
I feel like most of us already knew that, though. Entirely too many people either shrug it off, ignore it, or recover much too quickly. And that's just in the videos that Donut's covered.
Really, it's just more evidence that TASER International's (now Axon, the BWC guys) XREP should have been made available to law enforcement. It was *like* a taser, but coupled with getting punched with a baton. And with four probes, instead of two. And fired from a shotgun.
They always have some sort of effect.

Where is this? Every department in my area has gotten rid of physical fitness standards because they are hundreds of officers short and the gen z generation can't pass the tests.
