Its true what you say but my opinion is that this disaster happening in the VS is because of very bad policy.
This is still the outcome about "the war on drugs"
That harsh policy made Heroine enemy nr 1 and everything and everybody that has something to do with especially heroine was a casualty of this war.
I believe that they still have the 3 strike law, addicted people who doing shit for the dope get life senteces because they have 3 convictions on their wrap sheet.
That war never could be won because there was no war, they created a war by doing this shit.
By criminalizing use, distribution or producing Heroine they created a problem that never was a problem, in the 90th about 8000 people died from heroine related cases.
I believe Alcohol ten tripled this number, gun violence was also a huge number so the 8000 was nothing compare with other issues.
What they have accomplished by this war on drugs is that they created a warzone for the victims and a free cart for criminals to occupy the drugtrade.
Nowadays there is so much money going round in the drugtrade that the normal economy depends on it because eventually all that drugscash will flow in the normal economy and the numbers are mind-blowing.
When it flows in in the normal economy it's no longer drugmoney but its clean money but still in hands of huge criminals.
If we continu like this then criminals are on top of the food chain.
If we want to cut of the head of the snake then there is only one solution and that is legalizing all drugs.
Then we take control back, there is no money to make for criminals because its legall and we can control the users, we can provide them good quality drugs without Fentanyl and Xylazine and let tem use their drugs in a safe clean place.
Thats good for everybody I think.
Believe me, its a bigger step for an 18 year old to go te a by the goverment controlled place to hand over your id and then order whatever drugs you want.
